Honor Your Husband-Week 2

This has been a wonderful week at my house, I am loving this challenge, thank you Christine. I feel that my husband and I, are becoming closer everyday. My goals for last week were:1)Leave love letters in his lunch box everyday=accomplished, and he loved it, he acted like a little schoolboy(I loved that, lol) 2) Greet him as he came in from work each day with a hug, and kiss=accomplished, he could not get over this, he thought he was in the wrong house, lol 3)Compliment him everyday=accomplished, this is very easy to do. I love everything about him. I see him shine after I compliment him, and that makes me shine. I have some great news to share, an answer to my prayers. My dear husband quit smoking this weekend, I have been praying for this to happen for 10 years. He threw them down, and said no more. He said, he wants to be healthy, and does not want to hurt me, or God anymore. I praise God for answered prayer. This week I am going to show my husband support in his work. I am going to encourage him, and praise him for a job well done. I am going to show more of an interest in his work. I am going to build him up, and not tear him down. I am daily going to pour out love upon him. Bless you all, as we do this challenge together.

Sounds like you and hubby are getting ever so closer, that is so great!! Have you ever read The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omaritan? This is a must read and it shows you ways to pray for your husband. I wish my husband would stop smoking, maybe I'll pray about that, help me pray?

I'm so glad to hear that your husband quit smoking, but more importantly are the reasons that he quit! I make my husbands lunch most everyday and never think to put a note in his bag. I'll have to try that this week. I have placed a card in his bag when he travels and wait for him to find it.

Have a wonderful week! Wendy

Isn't it amazing how easy it is to make men feel so loved and appreciated. This is a good challenge because it is also just as easy to take everything our men do for their familes, for granted. God put them in a very unique position. One, I for sure would not want to trade with.
Good job on your accomplishments and way to go hubby.

Oh... very well put! And congrats on his quitting smoking. This vice has been a subject of contention in our marriage for years. It was a long time before I let go and gave it to God. I FEEL for you in this area! I will pray for lasting success in this area. Great job on the challenge! It's grand to read of the blessings that arise from such efforts.

PRAISE GOD!! That is so great that you hubby ate up all the attention - keep up the great work, I pray these new habits will become long term life changes. I am sure your support of him played a big part in him wanting to toss those smokes out! Praying that he stays strong, he is going to have some tough days I am sure and you are there to hold him up when he is weak. Blessings!!
