In Other Words Tuesday

"If a commission by an earthly king is considered an honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice?"~ David Livingstone ~ When I think of all the sacrifices that my Lord Jesus has made for me, it takes my breath away. He gave His life at Calvary, so that I could live,He shed His precious blood, so that I could be clean. He bears the stripes upon His body, so that I can be healed. He was tempted, so that I could find a way out. He provides me with the weapons, to fight the daily battles against satan, and his sins from hell. He gives me strength, when I am weak. He comforts me when I mourn, and wipes away my tears. He gives me beauty for the ashes of my life. All He ask of me in return, is to love Him, and love others. He wants me to seek out the lost, just like he sought me. He wants me to share His word, and His precious love to a lost, and hurting world. That is His great commission for me, how could I ever consider that a sacrifice? I consider it a great honor, and privilege. It is the least I could do after all He has done, and continues to do for me. Thank You my Heavenly King.

Hi hon,

You know when we think of it that way, that Jesus has sacrificed so much for us, we begin to realize that any sacrifice we can offer would pale in comparison. It is unlikely that the Lord would ever ask us to give up our lives but it really helps to remember the sacrifice of our King and that we should serve Him with joy no matter what He asks of us. God be with you.
