I am back, and here is an update

Hello to all my precious friends, I have missed you all so very much. I have not written on my blog since June 29th, today is October 22nd. That is nearly four months. Wow!! My life has been crazy, to say the least. Eddie has been off of work since June 24th, his foot was broken, when the tree fell on him, and on our car. Every time he would go see his doctor, the x-ray would show that his foot was not healing. Finally, when he went to see his doctor on September 22nd, the x-ray showed that his foot had healed 90%. But, the plant where he works, said he had to be healed 100%, before he could return to work. His next appointment is October 27th, the doctor will be doing another x-ray on that day. Please be praying that it will show 100% healing. Financially, things are really rough right now, he really needs to start making paychecks again. Then, of course, there is me, and all of my health adventures!! I started going to a new doctor on October 8th, his name is Dr. Huffman. He is a endocrinologist, he is now taking care of my diabetes, and thyroid problems. I love him already, he really listens to me, and shows so much concern. His entire staff is very compassionate, I appreciate them all. Speaking of diabetes, mine is completely out of control. Dr. Huffman is trying me on different amounts of insulin. My blood sugars bounce up and down constantly, from very low, to very high. That is not good, it is dangerous. It wreaks havoc on my body. It has really damaged my feet, can barely get around. My feet are dead, and useless. Very scary. My vision has gotten worse, there is a huge cataract in my left eye, and also a ruptured blood vessel in my left eye. I have an appointment with my eye doctor on October 28th. I had another appointment with Dr. Huffman today. He went over all  of the blood work they did on October 8th. All my levels came back way to elevated. My thyroid is so bad, it would not even register. The Dr. put me on more medicine for my thyroid, have to take it for the next four weeks. My thyroid is also messing up my diabetes. When I go back on December 8th, he is going to put me on a twenty-four hour monitor for my insulin, to see how it is affecting my body. After my diabetes gets a little better, the Dr. wants me to go on an insulin pump. So, please pray for me, would truly appreciate it.

Denise, dear sister. How wonderful to hear from you. You have never been far from my thoughts. I will add all of your specific requests to my prayer list. I couldn't be happier that you have found a good doctor. Sounds like he will give you the care that both your body and your spirit need so very much.

Stay positive, as you always do. God is working, and He cares so much for you and Eddie and Coco, too.

GOD BLESS!

I hope you will get a pump. I have had one for 15 years and it makes it easier to manage the diabetes. Right now, mine is also out of control, going from high to crashing to way low. Fortunately my metabolic panels are very good and I have no other problems. Hang in there and good to see you back.

Denise, it is so nice to see a post from you! Diabetes is terrible, my father had it (he died in 1984). You are such a dear soul.

Please know that you are in my prayers.

Denise, it's SO good to see you back! I have checked back periodically to see if you had returned. I will be praying for your hubby's foot to be 100% healed!

I'm so sorry to hear about your thyroid and diabetic problems. I had my thyroid removed 9 years ago and it truly can wreak havoc in your life when it's not right. My hubby has diabetes and I totally understand how hard it is on you when it's not under control. I am praying for you, too, dear sister and friend!

It's been a hard year for you! I pray that you are feeling the nearness and comfort of God every day!!

Blessings - Julie

I wondered what had happened. Prayers for you. Thanks for getting on here again so that we can know when to how to pray. My parents were severe, brittle diabetics. Both me and my husband are too. Financial reverses are the worse. Stress can cause our bodies to get out of whack. A while back my BS was completely out of control and it's because I was so stressed. Prayers for you my friend.

Hard to know how to pray Denise. I am so sorry that you are experiencing these problems and health challenges. I do ask that our Lord would minister to you and Eddie during this difficult season. And that he would surround you with angels (heavenly and earthly) that will help you in this season.

SO GREAT to have you back Denise! Although the update was thorough, it did not have the good report that I have been praying for my dear sister and believing for so I'll just have to keep on pressin' in and you stay as sweet, precious, and positive as you can meanwhile ... wrote more in my email! I hope that God provides all your needs. Love to all and that sweet precious Coco is the best caregiver!

Love you so much!
