Weight

I love poems, use to write poems everyday before my stroke. Even wrote two poems, that were read at my mamas funeral. My mama loved my poems, so did Eddie. After my stroke, I could not write them any more. Do not know why, my brain just would not cooperate. Well, this evening, one popped into my head, here it is; The weight I daily carry around, I fear is going to knock me to the ground. No, I am not talking about the weight I see upon my scale, that is another tale, to tell. The weight, weighs heavy upon my shoulders, like a bag of boulders. Jesus loves me, this I know, so onward, I will go. He is my shield, so to fear, I will not yield.

LOVE IT! well, maybe your poem writing days have come back. They say 'slow and steady wins the race' ...starting back slow so your mind (brain) feels no rushing for words, writing as it comes to you is just as wonderful as can be. Blessings!!

It's beautiful sister Denise. I believe you always have that gift. I pray that you'll always give that "weight" to His merciful hands. God bless and protect you.

It's probably a slow process, but as you heal, it will all come back to you and this was a beautiful beginning.

Aw w this was a wonderful poem. I used to be able to write poetry myself and now I just can't for some reason. I think you can do this more often since you did it now.
Blessings, hugs and love for you!
