Praising God

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Well, today did not start off very well, I woke up around 2:15, in a really bad sweat all over my body, also, I was feeling confused. Thank God, Eddie was still here, had not left for work yet. He felt my sweating, and woke up. He checked my blood sugar, it was 55. That is not good at all. All I wanted to do was go to sleep, and quit sweating. Going to sleep is one thing you do not let a diabetic do when their blood sugar is low, they can go into a coma, and die, just like my brother did back in 2008. So, bless his heart, Eddie had to take care of me. He kept me awake, turned the fan on to cool me off, made me drink some tea, and take some glucose pills, an eat some crackers to bring my blood sugar back up. Ten minutes went by, and he checked my blood sugar again, it had went from 55 to 53, Crazy!! By then, it should have been going up, not down. I kept getting sleepier, and feeling worse. Eddie made me eat some little snicker candy bars. After twenty more minutes, he checked my blood sugar again. Praise God, my blood sugar was now 122. So, needless to say, I have felt really tired all day, that happens every time I have one of these low blood sugar episodes. But, I have a wonderful praise report. No more walker for now. For the first time since last week, I am able to walk on my own. My leg and thigh are better, feet and toes are still the same. Thank You Father. I have been praise dancing all over this apartment. I may not be the most graceful dancer, as a matter of fact, I am very off balance with my dancing, but it comes from my heart!!

Denise,

Praising God for all the great things that came from His presence being with you, from Eddie being there when you needed him most, to giving you the opportunity to praise dance for Him. I know He is well pleased.

It is hard indeed sister with low levels like that. I'm glad bro. Eddie was able to help you out. Glad to know you don't need that walker. Thanks be to God. Continuing to pray for you. Be strong in His power. Love and blessings to you.

Hi Denise, so glad you got better from your insulin reaction. This used to happen to my mother and the best thing to do is take a glass of orange juice with a teaspoon or more of sugar. It will pull you out of the reaction.
Doctor told me this and it really works.
Praying for you my friend.
Hugs

Praise dancing with you!
I am not graceful either...makes it even more fun though!
That is exactly how I felt when my white blood cells dropped low last week...At one point when I called and Jeff came home from work...I just wanted to stay under the covers on the couch and sleep...My WBC was 800...8000 is normal...so I probably would have died by the time Jeff got home from work if I hadn't called him home!
Thank God he made me go to the hospital.
Scary stuff...But the Lord keeps us here and safely in His hand!
