Five Minute Friday-Friend
There is a friend that sticks closer than a
brother, His name is Jesus. When the whole world walks out on you, He will walk in. When people let you down, and sometimes knock you down, He will be there to lift you up. When you are experiencing those up on the mountaintop highs, He will be there, cheering with you. When you are experiencing those down in the valley, pit dwelling moments in life, He will be there, pulling you out, and setting you back up on the mountain. When you are crying those heartbreaking tears, He will be there, wiping them away. When you are laughing so hard, it makes your tummy hurt, He will be there, sharing the laughter. When you are sick, He will be there, holding you, and healing you. When you die, He will be the one there with you, through it all. What a friend we have in Jesus!!

This is such a good reminder. Too many times I look to my human friends rather than my ultimate Friend when I need help. Thank you!

A friend, indeed, Denise. NO+thing compares to the relationship with Jesus that you describe so beautifully.
I somehow believe that our purpose here is to discover that all we really need is HIM for He is ALLLL sufficiency. Once you got that, you got it all!!!

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for the gift of my friend, Jesus. The only One who knows me completely, loves me unconditionally, and promises to never leave me.

LOVE this! I have been learning how to have Jesus as my Best, and sometimes only friend, for a few years now. It takes me that long to get it :)
What an incredible post! You know, I honestly never really thought about Jesus cheering along with me. I know He's happy and I always try to thank Him when something good happens, but I just love that picture!! And the part about him walking in when the world walks out... WOW. So touching. Thank you for this great five minute friday!
