Dancing In The Fire

Is anyone feeling the heat like I am right now? I know Christmas is almost here, but, times are really hard right now. Not just financially, but various other ways. Health wise, of course, emotionally, spiritually, and my marriage is suffering. I am in the fire pit, flames are rising higher, and higher. I can feel the flames licking at me, and smell the soot upon me. I could just totally give up, and burn, baby burn. No way!! I do not care how hot it gets in here, or how long I have to stay in this fire, I will not give up. You see, I am not alone. Jesus is walking through this fire with me. There is a lesson to be learned from this, once I learn that lesson, I will rise from the fire, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. While I am here, I may as well dance. Come on everyone, dance like you just don't care. Woo Hoo!!

Gramemaw here: yes, I feel it too! I have been dealing (myself or members of my small family) with depression, illness, stress... One of the ways (for me) that I am feeling better is that, believe it or not, I deleted my online blog! Lol. Because then I've been able to journal more faithfully, and this has been a great help for me. I am slowly going through Charles Stanley's book The Source Of My Strength, and it has been a huge way God is comforting me. I can relate to marriage strife; and we are both christians here, married almost 30 years. Definitely praying for you.

Good for you to keep up the good fight!

Hoping your continuing to heal nicely from surgery.

And hoping that though your relationship with your hubby is edgy right night, that the Christmas spirit may soften him a little, and the holiday cheer will damper the fire!

Blessings & Peace

Time in the fire can be rough. The trick is to hang on and keep dancing.

I love your spirit, Denise! When I went through the fire for such a long time these last few years, I reached a point when I really did look at the problems more than I looked at the Lord. That was the only truly BAD time. These flames scorch, but He is faithful. Keep those eyes on Him! He is our salvation!

I love you, pretty lil bear. I said a prayer for you and love bug. ♥

P.S. ~ One of the things I remember when I see Christmas lights is that even a very small light shines brightest in the darkness.
