Day9-Praying For My Husband

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." - Mark 10:45 (NASB)
"If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all." - Mark 9:35 (NASB)

There is a great deal of talk about “servant leadership” these days. Servant leadership began with Jesus. Jesus was the greatest servant leader of all time. He came as the king of glory, not to be served, but to serve. The Bible says Jesus humbled himself and was born of a virgin so that He could bring salvation for us all.

Jesus taught us that if you want to be great in the Kingdom of God, you have to become a servant. When you become a servant of others, you express the love of Christ. When we humble ourselves and serve others, God is able to lift us up. It has been said; “God commands us to humble ourselves and allow Him to exalt us. If we exalt ourselves and do God’s job, then He has to do our job of humbling us." (And God is very good at humbling us)

There are few things more inspiring than a godly man who places himself in service to others. That man will be great in the Kingdom of God.

Today, ask God to build a servant’s spirit in your husband. Let him become a man who is willing to do the menial jobs because he understands who he is in the Kingdom of God. Pray that he will humble himself so that God can exalt him.

Father, I pray that You will develop in eddie a servant’s heart. I pray that he will humble himself, so that You can exalt him. I pray today, that You will give him the opportunity to serve others. Remind him that to be great in Your kingdom, he has to become servants of all.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

eddie, today I was reminded that if we are going to be great in the Kingdom of God, we have to have a servant’s heart. I am praying that today you will reflect Christ by being a servant of those around you. I pray that God gives you a special opportunity to serve someone today. I am praying that as you serve others, God will exalt you. love denise
