Day 8-Praying For My Husband

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3:26 (NASB)

If your husband has given his life to Christ through faith in Him, then he is a son of God. Let that sink in a moment, not a slave, not a servant, not friend, but a son. Sons have different rights and responsibilities than servants. Sons look after the father’s interests. Sons have direct access to their father. Sons get preferential treatment from their father.

Most men have a hard time seeing themselves as sons of God. If they do consider themselves a son, they usually think they are the prodigal one. The son the father puts up with instead of the one whom the father treasures.

When you see yourself as a son of God, you see life different. If God is our father, then what should we be worrying about? If God is our father, then He is looking after His children.

When you see yourself as a son, it changes your prayer life. You are not a slave begging for a handout, but a son asking of a loving father. You don’t fear coming into His presence, but you desire to spend time with Him.

Today, as you pray for your husband, pray he sees himself as a son of God. Pray that he leaves behind the slave mentality and begins to walk like a son of the living God. Ask the Lord to burn in his heart that he is a son of God.

Father, I pray that you will remind eddie that he is your son. I pray that he will realize that he is loved and treasured by You. As he goes through his day, let him sense that you are walking with him and watching over him. As he comes to You in prayer, I pray he will come boldly before You because he is your son.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

eddie, I read today that you are a son of God. You are not a slave, servant, or friend, but a son of the living God. I am praying that today you sense His presence and watchful care throughout your day. I am praying God continually reminds you that you are His son. He is proud of you, wants the best for you, and is taking care of you today. love, denise

There's a lot of truth here. Daughters of God also have a lot of problem with trusting God if they have not had an earthly Father they could trust. I'm praying God wraps His lovings arms around you daily and reminds you of His great love for both of you; and that He heals your body and your marriage. Hugs.xx

Sometimes when one is "under conviction" they can give people around them a hard time....sounds to me from a past post, GOD is dealing with Eddie. That's actually a good thing, even tho it doesn't feel like it for you. You and others have been praying for Eddie intensely...GOD is moving....keep the FAITH. For these last days, GOD is going to pour out his spirit like never before...before his return, which could be anytime. Bless you, and let's keep praying for those who need salvation! Roxie
