This verse is a wonderful promise of God’s provision for His children. It is not an open credit card to ask for anything we want. God has not promised to give us everything we want, but as we delight ourselves in Him, then He will give us our desires.
We delight ourselves in the Lord by placing our complete trust in Him. We can trust and rest in Him knowing that He is a good God, and that He rewards those who seek Him. We can delight in Him because we know that He is working for our good. Delighting in the Lord is placing our complete trust in Him for all we need.
God will not give us the selfish, sinful desires of our heart. But as we learn to delight in Him, our desires become His desires. We can ask what we want, because He is molding our desires. It has been said; “The godly man never indulges a desire that cannot be formed into a prayer.”
There is great release of peace when we learn to delight in Him.
As you pray for eddie today, pray that he places his complete trust in the Lord. Pray that he will completely submit his life to the Lord. As he delights in the Lord, God is going to give him his desires. His desires are going to line up with God’s will as he learns to delight in the Lord.
Father, I pray that you will give eddie the faith and strength to completely submit his life to You. I pray that he will delight himself in You. Help him to focus his heart on You, so that his desires become Your desires. Mold him into the man that completely trusts in You.

i love this verse. I think it's so comforting that if we are following God's will he will give us what we need!
Knowing He gave His own Son, what's hard for Him to give? May our hearts always seek Him. I agree with your prayer sis and I love the song by Kari Jobe. Take care and may you always be strong in His power! Have a great Friday enjoying what God has given you...May He give your heart's desires.

It takes time to chisel away the layers of problems that are causing Eddie to not have trust in the Lord...but with God all things are possible and the loving praying heart of a faithful wife who delights in the Lord will helps.God does give us what we need...blessings to you....stand strong.
