Day 19-Praying For My Husband

Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” - 1 Corinthians 3:16 (NASB)

In the Old Testament, God’s presence dwelt in the temple. Within the temple was a place called the Holy of Holies. This place was where God’s presence was manifested.

Paul reminds us that we are the temple of God. Not the church of God, but His temple. We are His temple, because God dwells within us. The Holy Spirit took up residence in our lives when we came by faith to Christ.

Since our bodies are God’s temple, wherever we go, God goes. What we see, God sees. What we do, God does with us. Where did you take God this week? What did you show God this week? What did God see through you this week?

If we truly believed that God lived in us, what difference would it make in our life? Would we be more careful with our actions, entertainment, and activities? Would we be more confident if we truly believed God had taken up residence within us? This week, wherever you go, remember God is with you, because you are His temple

As you pray for your husband today, pray that he remembers that God dwells within Him. Ask the Lord to remind him that where he goes and what he sees, God sees with him. Ask God to give him new courage and confidence as he remembers he is the temple of God.
Father, I pray today, eddie will be mindful that you dwell within him. I pray that he will have new confidence and courage as he remembers that he is the temple of God. Remind him that where he goes and what he sees, You see as well because You dwell within him. Thank You that he is Your temple, and You dwell in him.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

eddie, today I am praying that you are mindful of God’s presence in your life. I was reminded that we are the temple of God. Our bodies are God’s dwelling place. I am praying for new boldness, courage, and confidence as you remember that God is not only with you today, He is in you. love, denise

Each of us was born with the Light of Christ. That light will never leave us. It may grow dimmer and dimmer, but it will always be there and if we choose to follow it's promptings it will lead us to our Father in Heaven and to our Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that Eddie will re-ignite his flame and it will grow brighter and brighter. HUGS!

I think you are right, if we remembered that God is as close as the breath we breathe, our lives would be different.
