Day 17-Praying For My Husband

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2
When you run a race there is only one thing that matters - crossing the finish line. The runner gives his full attention to the finish line. If he gets distracted, begins worrying about how others are doing, or looks into the stands, he is done for.

There are many things that attempt to draw our attention, but success is found only as we focus on Christ. If we take our eyes off Christ, we open ourselves up to all sorts of deceptions.

The only way to follow Christ is to fix our attention on Him. If we are going to follow Christ, we have to be watching and listening for what He has to say and where He leads. There are so many shiny objects that can grab our attention. If we don't fix our attention on Christ, we will be distracted.

Fixing our eyes implies that we are putting our full attention on Him. This means we have a single focus - the Lord Jesus.

As you pray for eddie today, pray that he will place his complete attention on Christ. Pray that he will follow Christ wherever He leads. Ask the Lord to help him keep his eyes on Christ and avoid the distractions that are thrown his way.

Father, I pray that eddie can keep his total focus on You. I pray that he runs toward You the way an athlete runs toward the finish line. I ask that You help him to avoid all the distractions that come his way, and help him to focus on You.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

eddie, today I am praying that you run after Christ with all your heart. I am praying that you focus on Christ and that you never take your eyes off Him. I am asking God to help you avoid all the distractions that Satan throws at you, so you can be completely focus on Christ.  love, denise

Praying for you, Denise. Prayer is the best thing we can do, then believe and trust God to work it all out.

It worked for me when we were first married. I did not give up praying and after a while he finally repented and has never turned back. I'm praying the same for you and Eddie.
