Day 2-Praying For My Husband

Day 2

"Trust in the Lord"

Today's Verse: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)

Every day we have a choice. We can trust in our own strength, wisdom, and power; or we can put our trust in the Lord. To trust in the Lord is to put our total confidence and hope in Him. To trust in the Lord is to seek out God’s plan and path for my life today. This verse makes it very clear; I can either put my trust in God or trust in myself. When I trust in my wisdom, I often find life’s path filled with detours, distractions, tall hills and long routes.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a heavenly GPS that could give us direction and guidance throughout the day? As we trust in the Lord He promises to lead us. This verse promises that He will make our paths “straight.” To make your path straight means to make it clear. A straight path is easy to follow, and a shorter distance than the path that curves right and left. A straight path is a path that is level and not full of steep hills and valleys.

Men have a hard time trusting in anyone but themselves. As you pray for your husband, pray that he will grow in his trust of the Lord. Pray that he will put all of his confidence in God, over his own ideas and strength. Ask God to bless him by making his way throughout the day, clear, straight and productive.

Today I am praying that eddie will trust in You with all his heart. I pray that he will look to You for wisdom, strength, and guidance as he goes about his day. Father, as he trusts in You today, please make his path straight and clear. Help him to avoid the distractions and detours the world throws his way. I pray that he will not depend upon himself, but will completely trust in You for everything he needs.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.

eddie, today I am praying that you trust in the Lord with all your heart. I am praying Proverbs 3:5-6 for you today. As you trust in the Lord with all your heart, He will make your way clear, straight and level. I am praying that today as you trust Him, He will give you insight and understanding beyond yourself. Love, denise

Hi Shortybear,

Nice to stop by your site again. What a great idea to have 31 days of praying for your man. May he sense how loved he is by his creator, and by you. May he feel respected, loved, cared for, and may his heart be drawn to the Father.

Have a lovely week from misty MN,
