My New Journey

Happy Thursday everyone. Praying everyone has a very blessed day. I am getting ready to start a new journey tomorrow morning. As most of you know, I have been battling with my weight for most of my life. Last year, before my stroke, I actually had become anerexic. At my biggest weight, I weighed 250. At my smallest weight last year, I weighed 98. Well, since my stroke, due to several new medicines that I am taking, and quite a bit of stress, I have packed on the pounds once again. When I stepped on my doctors scale tuesday, besides saying tilt, it said I am weighing 171. Wow!! So, I have to get serious about this, now. I have to start exercising, and due to being a serious diabetic, I have to really count my carbs. I thought about starting another blog, filled with my diet adventures. But, I thought it would probably bore all of you. Please take care, and enjoy your day.

Hi Denise! I think you can choose one day a week to tell us about your new journey with getting healthy and losing weight. It would be easier to accomplish than starting a whole new blog. I'm definitely interested to read how it's going. I hope you can take Coco for long walks. Both your body and your dog will appreciate that! God bless!

I wish you all the best with this challenge. I have seen some folks put their updates on weight loss/exercise on their sidebar weekly for those who want to follow the progress.

First off, beautiful background for your template...so filled with Autumn colors. I think we all battle with weight [one direction or another] at certain points in our lives, and medications CAN add weight...there's just nothing you can do about that.

But, if you want my opinion, you can always keep us up to date with your weight loss and exercising right in at Shortybear's!!!

Denise; I too have weight issues. I yo-yo way too much. My husband and I are working on a more healthy eating life style; so we are with you on this one.
For sure keep us posted and I will too. I would follow your other blog too.
Blessings and hugs!

I started watching my weight the first of August and have lost 12 pounds. I have about 60 more to go. I will be checking back to see how you do. We can all use encouragement in this area. :)

Such a challenge! I have often thought it would be easy to change just about everything BUT food intake. We have to eat, so you can't just cut it out entirely. But making wise choices requires discipline. I don't know about you, but put me & a lemon merinque pie in the same room and it isn't long when one of us shows up missing (munch munch).

I pray you have great success with your undertaking. I've heard Weight Watchers is a great program; with LOTS of support & accountability.

Blessings,
Kathleen

I deem you are not alone in this journey. My mom is not overweight but she has to be wary of her food intake because of early signs of high blood which I consider a blessing in disguise so that she'd eat the right choices of food and live a long time.

Please take care Ms Denise and stay healthy! :)

I love your pretty new fall look with your cutie Coco. Walking Coco should help you. Just try to eat things that are good for you. Love you

Will be praying for you. I've lost and gained so many times and now I've got to seriously watch my cholesterol because I can't take any of the medicines. We will just have to pray for each other.

God bless you, AE
