Thankful Thursday

I am very thankful for my marriage. Do I have a perfect marriage? No!! But, who does?? We have our ups, and our downs. We have our disagreements, but, we always agree to disagree. We never go to bed angry. We are each others best friend, and will be to the end. We have been through some real rough valley moments with each other. In 2010, Eddie had Gillian Barrie, was not able to work for six months, we did not know if he would ever be able to work again, or use his legs. God worked a miracle, he has been back to work now for two years, and you would never know he had ever had Gillian Barrie. I had several strokes in 2011, a big one on Labor Day. I came very close to dying, but I survived. It will be a year since my stroke on September 5th. Woo Hoo, God is so far beyond great. I am thankful for those rough valley times, for it made us stronger. Climbing together, stretching our physical, emotional, and spiritual muscles, was a wonderful marriage workout. Working as a team, surrounding each other with love and support. Cheering each other on to victory, we reached the top of the mountain together. Raising our arms up toward heaven, to our life coach, sweet victory in Jesus, our Saviour forever!!

Hi sis! I live in the valley and while watching the news one day, as the weather was being broadcasted & maps of areas shown, I saw the valleys deeper in the middle & no wonder...temps get to be extremes as hot or cold air could settle on the bottom. And I thought...no wonder...we go through extremes in the valleys of our lives as they are the lowest point. The mountaintop is much higher. And Who better to call on but move the Mountain, Jesus, Who can see all of our struggles down below. Faith can move the mountain even as small as a mustard seed...

And I knew some of what you had gone through. The deepest in your valleys. But I also know...you and bro.Eddie continue to persevere knowing you never fail to move the Mountain with your faith-filled prayers. Not only for both of you but also for us. As I go through my own trial, thanks to your prayers combined with mine. The temps may be extreme but we learn to endure knowing that we get strengthened by our faith. Until we reach the Mountaintop. Blessings & love to you. May you always be strengthened by His power and might!

A good marriage is such a blessing! And they don't come easily. People can't be selfish and have a good marriage. You two love God and work at your marriage. You've been through tough times and God has brought you through. Many blessings, Denise♥

I think your key words here are that you and Eddie worked as a team!! Together with God you can overcome anything! Your story is an inspiration to me and I'm sure it is to many others, what a great testimony to your faith. God Bless you!

Dear Denise,

Praise Christ Jesus!!!

Here's a verse that I really like . . . Psalm 28:7 (King James Version) "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."

God's blessings to you and yours,
Lon

Rcubes said it all so beautifully. Our struggles do strengthen us and bring us to a deeper relationship with the Lord. I have been through many deep valleys and kicked and screamed through most of them...but I am still here and life is better because of what I went through...not that I want to go through them again.:) HUGS...Dee
