Coco??
When we first got our puppy coco, the adoption place told us she was a chocolate lab. But, when we took her to the vet for the first time, the vet said she is a pit bull. We are very confused. If you would please take time to look at her picture, which is at the top of my blog, and then vote in the poll on the right side of my blog, I would really appreciate it.

When I first saw a photo of Coco I thought she was a Chocolate Labrador. But when you said the vet told you she is a pit bull, I thought he knows something I don't. Perhaps Coco will look more and more like a pit bull as she grows. I'd love to hear what others think too.
I thought she was a mix....probably 1/2 and 1/2....
Hmm, difficult Denise.. she doesn't really perfect look like a lab, but can she be a cross-breed of a lab and pitbull?
It's just a guess...

Well, I just went on line and looked up bit bull and chocolate lab puppies. I would have to say she is a pit bull because of the ears, the shape of the face, the eyes and the smooth skin on the face and body which is sort of tight. The chocolate labs have different ears and the skin is much looser. The question is, are you comfortable with a pit bull? If you are wondering if you can handle one, I'd talk to your vet, and maybe to some other pit bull owners. ♥♥♥
Pit bull. Her ears and muzzle tell me that is a for sure thing. It's possible she might have some lab but her features are Pit.
Maybe our Boris is also a pitbull?
Boris is1/2 labrador 1/2 Heidewachtel.
Boris looks just like Coco!!
Maybe Coco is half-n-half.
My neighbor has a chocolate lab. I'm going to say yours is a pit bull. Whatever she is, she's a cutie! :)
I don't know enough about dogs to know which is which except for Poodles. (Because we had one)
I would love too, but I don't know about dogs:)
All I know is that Coco is definitely NOT a Yorkie. I'm casting my lot with Hootin Anni - a mix :)
She looks like a beautiful puppy to me. :) I love mix breed dogs. They are always the best dogs. I have 3 dogs and I couldn't imagine life without them. I love your blog. it's awesome!

Coco looks like our dog!! And the person we got her from said that she was a lab and bull dog mixed...we wondered how that happened.
She is the same dog that I wrote about on my last post.
So, I can definitely see lab. With our dog, we concluded that the her size confims the bull dog part because she is not very big.
...not sure if that helped, but that's how we figure.
Her face is shaped more like a pit than a lab. She's probably a mix of both.
Honey in the second photo especially she looks like a pit bull. They can be very sweet dogs if trained well.
she looks like a pit I do not see a lot of lab in her
I am thinking she is a mix
however she is cute
many blessings

I can see the lab in her...she may be mixed. Time will tell.
she looks almost just like our dog!!! they told us half lab half pit...whatever it is it is a good combination.
I have no idea... She's a pretty gal. Half and half? Hugs!
She looks like a mix to me, Denise. Anyway, she looks very sweet.
She looks like a mix to me... cute either way!
Thank you for coming over to my blog. I came over for a visit, and the first thing I saw was your cutie-pie Coco, and my exact thought was "What an adorable lab/pit mix!" Choco definitely has some "Bully" in her--as we owners of Pitbull/Staffordshire Bull/Bulldog/Large Terriers lovingly refer to them as. Many people confuse the different "Bully" breeds, and a lot of "Bullies" have some mix in them. My dog has a lot of Staffordshire Bull Terrier ("Staffie!") there, but he is also a mixed breed, and most people call him a "Pitbull"--even though he is NOT an "American Pitbull." For me, the easiest way to spot some "Bully" in a dog is their "grin" or "smile" when they pant or open their mouth--and BOY does Coco have the cute Bully grin! See his "dimples?" If people in your area are not fond of Pitbulls, it's OK to be forcible and demand that he be categorized as a "mixed breed." In some jurisdictions, Pitbulls are illegal, and ANY dog that gets the lable (whether accurate or not) will be stereotyped or even confiscated. Whenever people ask me, I always politely say, "Bentley is a mixed breed. There's a lot of stuff in there. But he is a large, friendly, powerful dog." If they push and ask, "Is he a Pitbull"" I answer, "There's probably a lot of Stafforshire Bull Terrier in there. All those breeds make wonderful pets! Would you like to know more?" Bully dogs are very, very loyal to their families, and great with kids. You'll have a wonderful companion in Coco.
She is a cute mix and looks more like a lab to me. Labs are so sweet and loving, and I understand a pit bull can be also.
