On Your Heart Tuesday

What is on my heart today? Lukewarm Christians, what is up with that? When Jesus was walking up that hill, carrying that very heavy cross upon His back, He did not keep changing His mind. He did not say, "Yes, I will gladly die for you, and then, a few minutes later say, "No, I refuse to die for you". He loves us always, beyond measure. But, so many of us, change our minds about Jesus, as often as the seasons change. One month, we are totally on fire, sold out for Jesus. Our mouths are filled with praise for Him continually. We are at church every time the doors are open. We share Him with others, every opportunity we get. We pray without ceasing. Woo Hoo!! Then, the following month, the blazing fire, turns into a tiny spark. We barely speak His name, we stay home, or choose to do other things, instead of going to church. We constantly let opportunities to share Him with others, pass us by. Our prayer life, is non-existent. But, guess what? We wonder, where did Jesus go? My friends, He has not gone anywhere. He does not leave us, we leave Him. It is as if, we put Him in a box, place Him on the shelf, and take Him down occasionally. This is crazy. God does not want us to be lukewarm, He wants us to be one way, or the other. He will spit out the lukewarm.  So, please, choose a temperature, and stay that temperature full-time. I choose to be on fire, burning up for Jesus always. Because, I refuse, to burn in hell!!

Oh that our witness for Jesus will not cease after this Easter season. Praise Him and Share Him everyday is what I long for.

Denise,
I watched your viedo from this past Friday. Sister in Christ, I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi Denise,

I'm so thankful that God tells us he will put his Spirit in us to help us to obey and want to obey him! How wonderful and humbling is that?

Very good post. We tend to become to relax in our relationship with God and that's something we must work to overcome everyday. It's good to have reminders.
Also, you've won an award on my blog. Check it out.

Well you got that right! It is written "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." (Revelation 3:16) Thanks for the reminder Denise.
