Thankful Thursday

Hello everyone, praying you are all having a great week. What are you thankful for this week? I am thankful for now, right now, this very second. To many of us waste our time, dwelling on the past, or worrying about the future. Please stop looking back in your rear view mirror, or trying to look ahead, to the future.. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow, may never be yours. Chill out, and take each day as it comes. God blesses us with a gift everyday, that is why it is called the present. Learn to be in the moment, the here, and now. Each morning, take time, to open the beautiful new gift, that God hands to you. Bask in the sunshine of a brand new day, soak up the love that God sends you daily. Quit rushing into your future, and missing out, on so many precious day to day moments. The dishes, and other household chores, can wait, the gym can wait, television can wait, computer can wait, cellphone can wait, Ipod can wait.  How about getting your Bible out each morning(that dusty book sitting on your living room table, or your computer desk) and having a deep time in the Word, such a great way to start your day!! Also, why not start your day with prayer, before you even get out of bed? Why do you feel the need to jump out of bed, and basically start your day running? Slow down, breathe in God, breathe out the world.

I like my day better when I don't jump out of bed but take a few moments to thank God for the day. I admit that I don't do this as often as I should. Thanks for the reminder ;-)

This ministered to my heart today. "TODAY, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart . . ."
Hearing Him thru you.
Thank you.

Oh Denise. Amen from me this morning. It's on the days that I neglect beginning with the Word that I am prone to the greatest attack.

And what you said about letting yesterday go couldn't be more true.

Just. Let. It. Go.
(That was to myself...)

I took some time today to make a drive to my folks house. I put everyday life on hold to stop and smell the sweetness of life with them. Life is short; we aren't promised another day. Best to make the most of the one we have in our grasps today.

Love you, friend.

That is a very good suggestion... I have never read the Word in bed, except when I have been sick.
