Thankful Thursday

Welcome to another Thankful Thursday. What are you thankful for? I am thankful for new beginnings. God truly blessed me back in September, by saving my life. That has given me a new beginning. Spring will be here in a few weeks, woo hoo, my favorite season. A time of renewal, I am looking very forward to it. I am starting a time of renewal in my life. Starting Monday, Feburary 27, I am beginning a 90 day fitness challenge. It is time to get out of my recliner(or, my throne, as lovebug calls it, lol) and get my body moving. Our spare bedroom, that had become, our junk room, has been transformed into "Denise's Gym". I have my exercise equipment in there, and we moved my stereo in there, so I can shake my booty, until it falls off, lol  I have a dry erase board hanging on the wall, where I am going to encourage myself daily. Go Denise Go!! We found a new park close by our apartments, that I am going to walk at once a day, everyday.  It is a really nice park, it is owned by a church, that is across the street from the park. Of course, I will also be dieting, have gained some weight since I came home from rehab. When I came home, I was weighing 113, I now weigh 134. My doctor that treats my diabetes, wants me to weigh, no more than 120. So, that means, I need to lose 14 pounds. But, actually, I want to lose 24 pounds, so I can weigh 110 . I want to thank my friend Marsha for all of her encouragement. She is also doing the 90 day fitness challenge, and has lost 60 pounds so far, woo hoo!! I am very proud of her.  I would appreciate your prayers, as I begin this challenge. Blessings upon you all.

Hello there,
I found you through another's blog.
Way to go on getting out of your throne. I'm trying to do that too. My one word for this year is discipline and working out is one of those areas for me. I'm not overweight, but not fit either. Maybe we could encourage one another. I have a treadmill out in the garage that is being used to hang clothes on. I'm going to give them away and hop on the thing and see what I can do.
Glad I came by, I suddenly feel energized! :)

You can do it! I went to the doctor today and learned I have gained 12 pounds since December. Yikes! This post was just the encouragement I need to get back in shape and eat better. WE can do this! I wish we lived closer to one another so we could be workout buddies.

Hi Denise,

Regarding your comment on my post "Swords and Dragon-Slayers," what a wonderful thing to say about your husband!

Thanks for stopping by. Nice to "meet" you.

Wow, so what happened in September when God saved your life? Good for you for trying to work out. Whew, I am trying to be motivated to do that too, and drinking lots of water. :)
