Count Your Blessings

Everyone, count your blessings today, instead of your problems. I promise you, you will lose count. Praise God, from whom all our blessings flow. If you wake up in the morning, you have been blessed. If you can see, you are blessed. If you can walk, you are blessed. If you are able to use both arms, and both hands, you are blessed. If you can hear, you are blessed. If you can swallow, you are blessed. If you can speak, you are blessed. Come on people, realize how very blessed you are. More importantly, realize Who it is that blesses you continually. Give our Lord Jesus, the thanks that He so very much deserves. When I was in Siskin Rehab Hospital, I was on the second floor, known as the stroke floor. My heart truly went out to all the people on that floor. Some of them could not eat, because they could no longer swallow. Some had to be in a wheel chair, as I was, because they could no longer walk. Some were using walkers, or a cane. But, they never gave up, and never complained. Please, do not complain about what you do not have, instead, celebrate all that you have been blessed with.

I am truly blessed. My body may not work as it use to, my ears don't hear as good as they use to, but I am truly blessed to be alive and have a friend in Jesus who helps me through each day. I am truly blessed by my new found friend, Denise, who also is blessed. Thank you, Father, for loving us all.

I like your new blog. It looks like fall, oh, yeh it is fall. I love all the beautiful trees when they start turning colors as if God is painting a new one each day.

I read somewhere yesterday that we tend to think that we are blessed when we have all these things, like good health, etc., but that the reality is that we are blessed in spite of all those conditions. In spite of because good and evil happen to both blessed and cursed, to both good and evil. Sadly, but true. We are blessed in spite of it all simply because of our position in Christ.

Thanks for stopping by with your encouraging words, Denise. Always so good to hear form you.
Love you, sis.

Oh Denise,

My friend, this is one of the most inspiring posts I have read today. How often we want to count our complaints but if we truly count our blessings they far out number our trials.

LOVE you so much. Praising God for you and that you have returned home. Hugs, Lynn

I've shared the best day with my family... giving me reason to remember just how very blessed I am. I couldn't help but think about where I was a year ago. I couldn't have enjoyed them then as much as I can now. Thank God for returning health.

I pray the same for you, sister.

AMEN... and giving thanks to God with you, my precious sister Denise... Clearly your beautiful heart and gracious attitude once more shines from Shortybear's place.

I saw your name at TT today and then a sweet comment from you, so though I'm quickly at the end of my hour at my neighborhood cyber instead of from home, I wanted you to know I am continuing to pray with and for you... hope you caught my emails and praising God that you
are able to blog with such a beautiful countenance that bless each of us. (Somehow I missed these in Google Reader... they did not show up ~ sorry, and I was getting concerned again about you)!

You are bearing much fruit, Denise
as you LOVE abiding in Christ, press on. Thank you so much and thank You, Lord for continuing to
restore Denise and watch over her daily. I love you Denise!

Hi Denise, What a beautiful post!! I had such good news and Praising God! My Potassium level went down to normal! My creatine level went down to base range. I was so close to having to go on dialysis.

Thanks for your prayers for me! Only our Savior could have done this!!
My legs are red from the knees to my ankles and I looked at them and said to Kelly " Praise God, I have feet and can still walk even if it is very slow" You are so in tune with what we should be Praising God for! LOVE You, Grams

Dear Denise,
Thinking of YOU and praying as always! Since I don't do Facebook, someone special lets me know if and when you pop up... but I'm concerned when you don't post here. Even if it's as little as Facebook...because you've had some gems over there lately. Hope all is being restored. That you are receiving healing and all you believe. Thank you for your prayers
because I certainly have needed them this past month, mostly health issues but not as serious as yours, though they could be, and you know I'm not home, so medically, I don't trust many here nor their treatments... I went to Urgent care this past week. But Praise God, on the 2nd day of pain, God healed me.
It made me think of you. My BP was way too high and still 140/90...the others were higher... being alone here makes this even more of a storm... but my God is here, and He is faithful, He is Healer, He is BIGGERE than any suffering or problem...so let's cast them all upon Him and get well! OK?

Love you...
Peggy
(this is more like an email than a comment but I've already commented here how you inspire us, press on)
