Sowing With Our Heart

We often go to the Lord asking for help, when we should be asking how we can help. We need to be ever mindful of opportunities to serve, whether it is at home, at the office, down the street, or in our community. God wants to use us, to show His love to the world.

Many times we think we need some special preparation, or purpose in order to do God’s will. What we forget, is that God has already made us ready. We can accomplish the things God has called us to do, because He is working through us. He is always present in the process. We will never reach the point, when we are wholly able by ourselves.

All we need to have is the desire to be used, to want to help in little ways. We must plant the tiny seeds, so that He can reap the great harvest. God will take care of the big things that need to be done, but we must be willing to go out into the field. He will honor and bless all we do in His name, no matter how small or insignificant.

When we sow our hearts for service, God gives us everything we need even before we ask.

Denise, this was a very timely post. Thanks for the reminder that God isn't interest in our abilities so much as in our availability and willingness.

I am with you here girl!
God is wanting to reach out....and we are to be the vessel He uses.
There is something that takes place in our spirit when we willing go to work for Him. Something that we will never experience without a joyful heart.

I think God is really trying to tell me something! Just today wrote a post about serving, too! (Isn't God amazing?) Thank you for sharing. It's a great confirmation for me!! You see, I have been feeling "unworthy" to serve...but I know that God will bless what I do in service to Him if my heart is in the right place. Thanks again, Denise, for your encouraging post!

We are called to serve and not to be served. Even the Lord showed a great example by washing His disciples' feet. Great reminder sis! Blessings.

There's a lil church in my path when I go to town. It has a scripture on the front and when I get home I can never remember what it is. But its the one where God will equip us and use us right where we are.* If you know which one it is... could you let me know? I can't remember it... and hopefully it will still be on the sign tomorrow if I can't find it tonight.
Thanks for reminding us Denise that God will use us if we're willing. GOD BLESS YOU SWEET SISTER IN CHRIST.
