Here are our contemplation questions for this week.
•Do you have good manners? Yes, I do have good manners. I always want to be respectful.
•Are you courteous to others, especially in your home? Yes, I am courteous to others.
•Are you tactful – sensitive to the feelings of others, choosing your words carefully, or do you offend people needlessly? I am tactful, would never want to offend people needlessly.
•Are you agreeable when you must disagree with someone? Yes, I am agreeable, when I must disagree with someone.
•Do you use sarcasm or put-downs that show disrespect? I never use sarcasm, or put-downs that show disrespect. I am never rude, or disrespectful to others. I know how it feels to be disrespected, and have people hurt you with their unkind words. When I was in school, the kids always made fun of my weight. Pointing at me, calling me names, and singing fatty fatty two by four, can't get through any door. It hurt me really bad, and made me cry so much. My own dad put me down all the time, said I would never amount to anything, his favorite thing to call me was a very bad curse word. My stepfather sexually abused me, which is the worse kind of disrespect. But, through it all, Father God was teaching me a great life lesson. He taught me how to always treat others with the love and respect they deserve, what I had always longed for. Thank You Father God for loving me, and respecting me. May I never fail to give others the same.

Thank you my friend for all you do for HIM. I love YOU!!!
You are in my prayers. I am hoping to able to receive a blessing from the Lord soon. You will be remembered when the Lord blesses me . . .
Your sister in Christ,
Bren
Denise~You are such a good person, through and through. Have a blessed day!
Great post and very encouraging. We should look at out attitude towards people often.
I'm sitting here crying thinking of how much you had been abused. I know you told me just a little when you commented me this morning, which by the way, was so so sweet. But, I had no idea how much you had been hurt. I'm truly sorry.
You know, I saw a lot of bullying when I was going to school. I never was bullied in school, but I sure was in church of all places. I was tall for my age and the kids at church called me "Herman", like from "The Munsters". I was gangly and awkward and they would all mock me. It was very hurtful.
You are such a beautiful, strong, and amazing woman. You are such a blessing to me. It's an honor for me to call you friend and it's awesome we're sisters... sisters in Christ! :) Thank you again for praying for my family. *hugs to you* God bless you!!

Denise may you always know love and be treated with the great respect you truly deserve.
I could answer yes to all your questions but one, I am not always so tactful as I could be. I would never want to hurt anyone on purpose but I find it frustrating when someone enjoys playing the victim and refuse to move forward. I Look at all you have been through and I see how you are a survivor spreading love and a kind word wherever you go. Oh I do have to work on this weakness. God Bless you my freind......:-) Hugs
Hmm. May I never fail to give others the same. Only by His grace. I come so short of Christ's example.
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Wendy
Denise, I think you are one of the sweetest women I know in blogland.
To be honest....I would never consider being rude or sarcastic to people I do not know...even if I have been horribly wrong.
BUT...when I am not where I should be....sometimes I would like to give myself a huge kick in the patoot when it comes to dealing with hubby.
Gasp! It is true...and although I am much better...because I know I answer to God ultimately....I know that I still have some areas of work here.
This is a great thing to think about within the walls of our home. Real food for thought.
:)
I am courteous. I always made it a point to be so. But because of communication barrier, I may have done something that made me sound "uncourteous".
Good post, Denise.
Hello my sweet, adorable, faithful friend! No matter what you write, you always manage to encourage others. One of the things that endears you to me is the way you write with such openness and honesty. Thank you for that!
When we are willing to let the walls down so others can see and hear, they begin to feel they are not alone, someone else understands.
Keep telling your story.
I love you!
Denise ~ You are LOVE ! You are Courteous! You are Kind! I praise God for the example you give every single day!
Great thoughts to ponder. You are such an encouragement to so many.

Praying for you guys.

Sherry
Denise, Thank you so much for sharing this post. I am so glad that you responded to what had been bad to you in a positive way. You are a very kind person! Thank you again!
I'm continuously amazed at how God is able to craft faulty, weak human beings into Christlike character. Denise, you are such a blessing. How you turned out courteous and sweet with such strong faith is wonderful testament to the power of Christ at work within you.
