Laughter, The Best Medicine

Lovebug and I have always enjoyed laughing together, we are just like two big kids. We are always pulling jokes on each other, and doing silly things to make each other laugh. I make up little songs and dances, and then sing and dance all over our apartment. Recent events, have made us truly appreciate the laughter even more. We choose to love each other through these storms we are in, and instead of filling our eyes with tears of sadness, we are choosing to share smiles and laughter with one another. I want to encourage lovebug, never discourage him. I want his heart to smile daily, as he walks this journey that God has set before him. I really believe that laughter is the best medicine, and will help in his healing.

Denise, I have been walking Disability Road with my husband for 15 years and have never exhibited nor seen exhibited the kind of grace that comes from you and your Lovebug. You amaze me.

Laughter truly does help with healing.

Proverbs 15:13
A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 17:22
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Proverbs 15:15
All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.

Bless you and your husband Denise.

Laughter is good for the heart and soul! I'm so encouraged to read this post Denise. You are such an inspiration to others, including me. Going through the storms is difficult. But you've shown us how to live and love despite the storms.

Having Him in both of your lives is worth celebrating for. When you feel that joy that comes from Him, nothing can move you. Not even the severest of storms. I know. Because you are sharing these lovely moments with us. And it blesses me in return. To remain hopeful. To rejoice. No matter what comes my way. God bless you both and may you have a wonderful weekend together. Love you sis.

Blessings sweet Denise! AMEN! May your home be filled with laughter and healing!!! If you dance like this pinky Shortybear, I'd be sure to laugh because each time I come and watch the Shortybear dance, I smile & sometimes even giggle! Love that you and Lovebug are turning this hardship around. May your storms be changed into hours of Sonshine/sunshine. You keep on choosing love, laughter and living.

Love you and praying for you both! Please keep me in your prayers as well - I was in the hospital since Wednesday and I just got home today. My TSH is 380, my pituitary gland in my brain is enlarged and is tumerous (non cancerous thank God!) and I have a condition known as metabolic myopathy. Ill be dealing with a lot of doctors to get better, but at least they found a reason Ive been in such horrible pain with such horrid swelling everywhere in my body. Thank the Lord for putting you and I with such awesome men who are there for us just as much as we are there for them - and with friends and family that love and support us - and for HIM for His ultimate love and compassion to see us through it all!

LOVE YOU!
