Thankful Thursday

Welcome everyone to another thankful Thursday. Raise your hands toward heaven, and give God the praise that only He deserves. I feel like never putting my hands down, He is so beyond worthy of my praise always. My sister went into the hospital last Friday morning, straight into ICU. She is in severe kidney failure, and has type 1 diabetes like me. Her body was so swollen, she was out of breathe, no energy, kept having coughing spells. I called upon my precious prayer warriors, and the prayers began. By Sunday, she was out in a regular room, and got to go home on Monday. God is so awesome, and so quick to answer our prayers. They drained twenty pounds of fluid off of her, and told her that she now has congestive heart failure. But, God is so faithful. He is with her, and will continue to watch over her. As for my own health, my diabetes is still out of control. My thyroid is really causing problems for me, somethings I cannot really talk about. I was suppose to go back to the specialist on January 4, but they called me today, and that has changed. The Doctor is having medical problems his self, so they were going to make my appointment for March. I cannot wait that long, I feel terrible. So, there is a new specialist here in town, and they are working on getting me in to see her. If it is God's will, I will get an appointment with her soon. Regardless, God will continue to receive all of my praise. Be blessed everyone.

My two youngest children have a metabolic disorder. I know how hard it is to be with a loved one in the hospital and how hard it is to wait for an appointment with a specialist! It's encouraging to hear you praise God while waiting.

Praise for your sister's improvement. I am praying for you, Denise. You are a blessing to me. Your light shines so bright.
Today, I'm thankful for simple things: Health, a warm house, Honey Bear, My Father's watch care over me, the presence of the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and sunshine. Well, some of those aren't simple but are very much a part of my life.
Blessings,
Mama Bear

I'm praying for you Denise. I'm thankful that your sister has improved and was discharged from the hospital. Tell her to weigh herself everyday so she can have a baseline. This was she can tell if she is accumulating extra fluid and the doctor can adjust her water pill. That's just nurse stuff.

Oh Denise, PRAISE God that your sister is feeling better and out of the hospital so quickly. The power of prayer is amazing. And as for your health, who knows, maybe this new specialist is an answer to prayer for you too. I will pray you get into to see her as quickly as possible. March really does seem WAY too far away to wait if you are not doing well. In the meantime, it is wonderful to know that it is all in the mighty hands of our Savior. Have a wonderful day. Many blessings to you, Debbie

Praise God your sister is so much better. I will be praying for you and that the red tape gets taken care of. I know exactly how you feel. We went through all that when Cowboy was having knee problems. From Jan. to Aug. but God was with him and in the end he is better than ever. Keep trusting in him. And lean on Huggy Bear.
Blessings to you hope you have a great date night!

My Sweet Sister,

I love you so. I am happy to hear that your sister was able to come home. Praise God and the faithfulness of so many others praying for and for YOU! I'm sorry to hear you are still having problems, but the Great Physician can heal anyone and if it is His will, it shall be done. I'm praising Him with my hands up with you sweet one and I will never give up either because God reigns over all earthly things and His power and might are AWESOME!

My prayers continue to be said for you and your sister.

Again, I love you so much Denise.

I am praying for an unexpectedly early appointment for you! Your determination to keep on praising Jesus no matter what is a GREAT example and encouragement to me. I know "it WILL be worth it all when we see Jesus! Life's trials will see SO small, when we see Him. One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase. So bravely run the race till YOU see Christ."
