Bringing Holy Back To The Holiday

This Christmas, I am so tired of all the selling of Christmas. I will be glad when the commercials stop. We are having financial problems, and will not be able to buy for each other, or our family. But, that is ok. This is going to be a wonderful Christmas. God has already given me several gifts that money cannot buy. He brought my niece and her beautiful baby back into my life, and my sister in-law. He helped my sister through her recent visit in the hospital, she is now home. She has congestive heart failure, severe kidney failure, and diabetes. But, she is home for Christmas. Those are gifts that money cannot buy, true heart gifts. We are going to wrap our hearts up, and give them away this Christmas. We may not be able to give gifts that have been bought at the mall, or even walmart, but we are going to give from our hearts. We are going to give our love, time, hugs, and prayers away. Please consider doing the same, you will be blessed.

Denise, what a precious gift to give your heart to others. You do that so well. You are always the first one to bless us with your comments on our blogs. You live a life of love for Jesus and I appreciate you greatly. I'm so glad that your sister in law was discharged from the hospital. God does answer prayer.

Love you,
Debbie

The true meaning of Christmas. After all, it was at Christmas that we received the first gift, a baby, sent to save us from our sins.
Bless you,
Mama Bear

Oh Denise this was a precious post. I totally understand. We are unable to buy gifts. It is hard when you have kids even when they are grown. I am making what I can for them.
Thanks for reminding us all to give love this Christmas.
We talked to our boys on Sunday about saying Merry Christmas and remembering it is about Christmas not Happy Holidays.
Have a Blessed Day,
Sherry

Denise, you are one smart cookie! (sugar-free since you're diabetic)

Heart gifts are the very best of all, nothing can take their place. Giving the gift of our hearts to our loved ones -- and even strangers -- and to our Lord is the very best of Christmas.

Those are the best gifts, Denise. I think people get too caught up with buying gifts for people, and sometimes out of "obligation."

Thank you for your post. I am loving the Holy back in the Holidays blogs. I am with you -- too much of our time and money get caught up with what IS NOT Christmas. The gifts you described are priceless - who could ask for more?

I think that is a fabulous idea, Denise. I know many in this country are having a hard time in purchasing gifts, but you have the right solution.

Thank you for sharing from your heart as always...

Be blessed as you have blessed me and your readers.

These are the best gifts, Denise! A gift from your heart of love--that's eternal--things aren't, and we tend to forget what we got last Christmas anyway. (Isn't that sad?)
I am praying for your sister, and for you--all things mentioned in these last posts. Denise, I love that you begin and end with praise--just like David in the Psalms--who had a heart after God's own heart! May you be encouraged as you have encouraged others,
Wendy
