Thankful Thursday

Well, I was suppose to be on my way to Sneads Florida today, to attend the Free To Be Me Bloggers Retreat. But, due to health problems, I had to stay home. I am disappointed, was looking so forward to meeting some wonderful blogging sisters, and sharing in a precious time of praising the Lord, and sharing our hearts with one another. But, God had other plans in store for me, so I will be here in Tennessee, allowing God to heal me physically. My body may not be there in Florida, but my heart, and my mind is. I intend to pray for those dear sisters all weekend. Asking God to be right there in the middle of everything they do during this retreat, may their souls be on fire. May they all be refreshed, and renewed. I pray this for each of you reading this post also, may God give you a special touch of love. I love you all, I really do. I pray only the best for all of you.

Denise, you are one of the most gracious, generous persons I have "met"! May God pour out even MORE grace on your life. In spite of your disappointment, find Him sufficient and full of mercy as you trust Him, praise Him, learn of Him, and continue your ministry of holding up sisters (and brothers) to the Throne of grace today.

Your example of grace, submission, contentment and praise put me to shame and draw out deep desire for more of Him in my life.

I missed a conference a few weeks ago (that I had paid for in June). I needed to stay home and take care of my husband after a surgery. Yes, it was disappointing. I sooo wanted to go. But at the end of the day, I wanted to be where God wanted me, and I was so convicted to stay that I just knew I had to. I'm so glad I did. I pray comfort and healing, and that there'll be another conference for you to attend soon. OR anything else better that God has planned. :)

Oh, Denise! My heart is so heavy to hear of your disappointment. I know how you've been looking forward to this.

Lord, I ask for Denise that You'll comfort her for this loss, and bless her for her gratitude. Please pour out upon her blessing which exceeds what she would have experienced at the conference. Please shower her life with waterfalls of feeling Your love, above all the love of all her friends combined. Please give her something extra and unexpected this weekend to bring her abundance of joy. Thank you for the great blessing You've put in my life of Denise. You know what a treasure she is. I love You Lord. Amen.

Oh sweet Denise. I am right there with you, my sister in Christ. I have a chronic illness (actually, a nice little cluster of them) that is usually under good control but flares in the fall. By the grace of God, I can still work. But after work, I'm pretty much done for the day. It's very difficult to live with the pain, low energy and especially, the misunderstanding of people around me. I look fine! I seem fine! So why can't I do X, Y or Z?

Denise, God has introduced me to so many people who, like me, suffer illness. It's been my joy to pray for them. You are now on my list, sweet Denise. May God grant you peace, comfort, and an abundance of blessing today.

He is ever mighty to save, ever good, ever present. God bless you.
