So We Don't Forget

Tell us about your first house - after you were married.
Or
If you're not married, tell us a special memory about another house you lived in.: When lovebug and I first got married back in April of 1985, we lived in a cute little duplex on Rogers Road here in Chattanooga Tennessee. It had two bedrooms, a nice living room, kitchen, long hallway, and one bathroom. We loved our little love nest, we made alot of sweet memories there. We lived there for seven years, we moved in the spring of 1992. What was so awesome, my momma lived around the corner in a duplex, and my big brother lived two doors down in a duplex. It was funny, mommas address was 4701 A Rogers Road, my brothers was 4703 A Rogers Road, and ours was 4705 A Rogers Road. All in the family, lol but I loved it. That is where my brother lived when my dear niece was born, she is now married, and expecting her first baby this month. My momma and big brother are both in heaven now, sure do miss them both. I am so grateful for the precious memories.

I enjoyed reading about your first house. I did a post about ours for "I Remember When" way back sometime. I need to do another nostalgia post. I've been thinking of some ideas.
I hope you are having a great day up there in Chattanooga. Honey Bear and I are driving through there next month on our way to the North Georgia Mountains for a little vacation. I'll think of you as I pass through.

Hello again,...I see you have aother blog, so I will follow this one too.

How fun to have a row of family members close by when you moved into your first place.

Fun to re-live the olden days huh? (smile) And bittersweet when we miss those who have passed on before us.

I used to call my husband Huggy Bear when we were first married!

Have a good day.

I love these remember when posts. How fun to reminisce about your first home. I might need to do one myself and link up with Lynnette. Hugs to you Denise.

When I was married, and all the kids were in school we lived in a house like the one I live in now!

It was a white house and that is what we called it!! The funny thing was while Kelly was little and I would say when we live at the White House, She thought I meant the "White House"!!!

Oh Denise, I did something to my blog today and I can't fix it!! I clicked the wrong thing and took all the color out of my blog!! But I think Karen can fix it!! Love and hugs Grams

Our first house was about 1,200 sq. feet and it was in Knoxville, TN. We lived there for about 4 1/2years and made many lasting memories! I'd move back there in a heartbeat!

Our first house was on a busy
street, but the backyard was so big we didn't seem to notice...until we pulled out of the driveway, and we got used to that too. We had 4 bedrooms, but only ONE BATHROOM...UGGG, a very long kitchen and dinning area, and a laundry chute upstairs that was big enough for blankets and bed speads. My son told me years after we moved that he slid down it once! WHAT???...LOL It was that big though, he could of.

Great idea! Blessings to you and yours!

What I remember about 452 Columbine in 1968 Denver was that it was the house where my Grandpa came to visit and take me for walks, and the two bedroom house with a triple bunk bed for me and my two brothers. It had two apple trees in the front yard with branches low enough for me to climb and I felt OH so big to do that!

I've been back to visit. The house is gone. Sparkling condos cover the site, but not the memories.

You know, it's so funny because I can still remember the address of our first little apartment that was over the landlord's house.
318 SW 15th St. Dania, FL
Boy do I have an embarrassing moment to tell you about that place! I'll tell you on our road trip.

Love ya!

I'm sorry that your momma and brother aren't here anymore. I'm glad you could look back with a smile on your face.
