Growing Up Mondays

Get to know your spiritual leaders and cooperate with them — The more you get to know them and their Godly life-style, the more you will likely come to trust their leadership. You will have a greater credibility in their teaching and counsel (1 Thes. 5:12). Show respect and cooperate with their authority. Avoid challenging their right, or worthiness to serve in their position, but accept that God has seen fit to place them in this role (Rom. 13:1). Belligerence or antagonism toward leadership may be acceptable in secular society, but there is no place for it in the Lord's church. "Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account..." (Heb. 13:17).

Oh, I like these verses, Denise, especially the Romans 13:1 one. So appropriate for this day and time, don't you think?

Love you!

Amen, They do such a hard work for the Lord and we must always pray for them and help out. Thank you for these awesome reminders. What a great way to start the week with the right attitude that pleases no one but God. Love you in Christ.

Happy Labor Day, my sweet friend. I loved your post. You are so right about challenging the leaders that God has placed over us.

Blessings to you!

A true post, Denise ~ I love "We Shall Behold Him." One of our pastor's wife used to sing if so beautifully.

THANK YOU for supporting church leadership! They need our love and prayers, not the criticism they're so often served.

I LOVE YOU!

The more you get to know them the more you know how to pray for them.

Amen, dear one. It seems that, as access to worldly knowledge increases exponentially through the Internet, the ability to submit and learn from our leaders diminishes. Thank you for a most needed reminder! Hope you have had a beautiful and pain-free day.. hugs....
