Thankful Thursday- Hope

Thanks Iris for another great theme this week, sweet blessings to you. I want to always keep hope alive in me, because my hope comes from God, and I want everyone to know that. More importantly, I want everyone to know my God. When heartaches, and troubles come your way, and they will my friends, reach out to Him, He will take your troubles, and give you hope in return. He is the reason I have never given up, or ever will. I keep my eyes focused upon Him, not the world, my redemption draws near. I am sick so much of the time, but I refuse to let go of hope. I worry about my dear lovebug, he is such a wonderful man. But, every time I get sick, or I find out that I have another medical condition, he gets really upset. He always says, why you? It is not fair, you have enough problems, why is God doing this to you? I want Him to heal you, not give you more burdens to carry. I know lovebug loves me very much, and he worries about me. But, I want him to replace his negativity with hope. God is not punishing me, or overburdening me at all. My medical problems are not God's fault, He hates to see me suffer. He is my Physician that watches over me, and gives me daily strength to carry on. He never leaves my side, He holds my hand through everything I endure. God is my healer, in His time, if He chooses, He will heal me. If He never chooses to heal me, I am fine with that. There is a reason for everything that happens in this world, God knows what He is doing, and why. I am not the only one in the world with medical problems, so many precious ones suffer daily. My hearts prayer, is that instead of letting your problems take control of your life, allow God to control your life. Believe me, once you do, God will show you that there is no problem to big for Him to handle. I love You Lord, and I praise You for being my hope.

Denise, as you go through your health challenges, may others see Jesus in you. There is hope in that. And God will be glorified. I hate that we often suffer in these bodies but we can have hope. Because throughout eternity, we will not be burdened down by them. Don't forget to tell Lovebug about that.

God already chose to heal us when He sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for all of us. that's how much He loves us. i do believe that it is God's will to heal you and the others who are sick. if you notice i don't say if it's His will may you be healed because i know it's His will for you to be healed, not in the next life but right now. you are so blessed to have a husband that loves you very much. even if you're suffering now, God sees and He will deliver you. denise, i know God is already at work behind the scenes to give you deliverance. He sees your faithfulness. i'm sure your friends here at blogsville would love to see your health improve.

oh denise, you bring so much encouragement to not just me but tons of others and i'd love to see you enter your Promised Land. it's just a matter of time. the God we serve is faithful.

you are in my prayers. love ya!

"My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand..
All other ground is sinking sand."

I loved that song as a child; it does make me wish that we sang more of the old hymns at church now. Why would anyone build their hope on ANYTHING less than Jesus?
love you....

Such a shining example of the strength, peace, and joy that being in Christ affords! God bless you sister. I feel for Lovebug for it is far easier to suffer yourself than to watch another whom you love suffer. Give him a hug for me!

Newbie visiting from 'another piece of the puzzle.' I think that that is the worst or rather 'holding' the pain of other people. Although there is suffering, personal suffering, it's other people's suffering as a consequence that is the most difficult thing to bear.
Best wishes

Bless you, sweetie. I am like you. I do not know what people do who do not have the Lord in their life. We know that He has our best interests at Heart. He loves us and watches over us. We just need to take it all to Him and let Him do the rest.

Blessings Denise...and this is why we all love you! You live by faith & hope & shoot it straight from the heart and always point us to HOPE & JESUS! Love you! You have been through so many health issues but Your Physician is there attending to you & your needs. Though Lovebug's heart is BIG, he needs to grasp this Truth as well... and know that "in sickness & in health" does not distinguish how much or who or how long just that He'll BEAR it all & strengthen you along the way in your faith & his but you sure do witness to all of us! Thanks for speaking your heart!

Without Jesus Christ as my hope, I don't know where I can be now.
This post reminds me of my mama, in her letter to me, she keep saying that she doesn't lost her hope that God will heal her from her diabetes.
I love my mama and I believe, too, that God will heal her.
