Focus On Missions

Connie Jarlsberg
Serving in medical ministries in Uganda and U.S.

Current Ministry Update

For the next three years, Connie will be working with Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF), a ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in partnership WorldVenture. Since 1935 NCF has been encouraging practicing nurses, nursing students and faculty to integrate their Christian faith and nursing practice.

The purpose of NCF is to assist nurses and students to grow in Christian character, representing Jesus to patients and colleagues, shaping nursing from a Christian worldview, creating excellence in patient care and responding to the call to care for people of every ethnicity and culture in Christ's name.

Connie will also challenge Christian nurses to consider becoming the next generation of missionary nurses for WorldVenture.

Ministry-at-a-Glance

Primary Ministry Focus: Connie works in the Missions Department of Nurses Christian Fellowship challenging nurses to be open to God's call to use their nursing skills to reach the world for Christ.
Major Challenges: While Connie continues to be a missionary with WorldVenture, she will be based in the U.S. and traveling to Africa to visit WorldVenture's medical ministries and hopefully have opportunities to take students and practicing nurses on visions trips.
Prayer Focus: Pray for Connie as she develops this new role. Pray for open hearts among nurses allowing them to see how they might partner with the Great Physician in bringing not only physical healing but eternal life to the people to whom they provide care.

Stir up this passion in other nurses to hear this call. Continue to develop & strengthen Connie in this role. Bless her in Jesus' Name. Bless Uganda & raise up more medical teams to GO to Africa & into the world! Thank You!
