In Other Words Tuesday

But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish.He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port.After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.”Jonah 1:3: Have you ever found yourself running away from the Lord? We cannot run from the presence of God.
Ps 139: 7 “Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.” Instead of running from God, run to Him. If He calls you to do something, He will equip you to do it. He never wants you to fail, He loves you my friend, and only wants the best for you. So, where He leads you, follow.

I wound up in Psalms 139 too, where can we go to flee from God. No where, so its best we flee to him instead of away from him. Thanks for sharing today.

There is no way to flee Him and why would we want to? Thanks, friend.

Why do we even kid ourselves? Of course, we cannot hide from God. And yet, I can think of times when I purposely walked away from His will because I wanted what I wanted. However, there are consequences to our choices and I'm learning my lessons. I'm so thankful for His mercy and forgiveness.
