Thankful Thursday- Honoring Mom

Dear Angel Momma, this will be my fourth Mothers Day without you. I love and miss you more with each passing day. I thank you so very much for the wonderful Momma that you were to me. The list of things that I thank you for would fill a book, or two. But here are some of the things I sincerely thank you for Angel Momma: 1) Your unconditional love, you loved me just the way I was. You never cared how much I weighed, or how thin my hair was, in your eyes, I was beautiful. 2) Your friendship, you were much more than just my Momma, you were my best friend. 3) Your hugs, there will never be anyone who can hug like you Momma. 4) Your smile, it could light up a room, and always made my heart smile. 5) Your laugh, laughing with you always made me happy, it was so much fun. 6) Your listening ears, as well as your listening heart. You always cared about what I had to say, that meant so much to me. 7) Your advice, you were such a wise woman. I was so blessed to be a recipient of that wonderful advice many times during my life. 8) Thanks so very much for the way you loved my lovebug, you treated him like your son. He loved you very, very much, and he misses you Momma. 9) The life lessons you taught me, they are forever in my heart. 10) The precious memories that I will forever carry with me, I think of you each time my heart beats Momma. Happy Mothers Day Angel Momma. I am blowing kisses up to heaven for you, make sure you catch them. Your baby girl loves you bunches and bunches.

I always think of those who have lost their momma during Mothers Day hoopla. I've got some sweet little boys in my life who won't have their mom this year. Its just plain hard...no matter our age.

Praying peace over you sweet one,
Fran

That was beautiful and SO heartfelt, Denise. It's funny; people think that after a year or two, grief should just go away and you should "get over" the death of a loved one. But my dad has been gone almost 15 years, and while it's not raw anymore, there's a deeper ache every year. But.. every year is one step closer to home and seeing him again. Can't wait to get home....
Praying for your hurting heart...

Yes, not the same when we lose our moms! Literally, our house became so dim for me when we lost the "light of our home".
I feel your longing for a mother's love. And this is wonderful that you are keeping her in your heart. Love does transcend. Glory to God, the Author of love. God bless you sister Denise.

Oh, I know you feel blessed to have had your special mother and to have had the kind of relationship with her that you did. How come we just cannot say enough about those we cherish? I find that on Mom's clear days, I do my best to remind her that I love her and how special she is to me. One day in the not too far future, she will be in heaven too. I want her to know what I feel now. I am glad we have grown closer over these years before the dementia became more prominent and I have been able to share with her my care and love.
And thank you for your kind words to my post. ~ linda

Blessings Denise and what a blessed what to honor your momma's memory & meaning to you! She sounds like an angel momma..your tribute is priceless! It indeed is difficult at this time of the year for those of us with our moms in heaven! My mom has been gone so long, I can't even count the years and I remember how glad I was when she no longer had to suffer here but how when that first mother's day came, my world crashed around me when I realized my momma was not here.
Lots of women here missing their momma...it's good we can share Our Lord & His Comforter & Peace!
Love you...and your blessed momma!
