In Other Words Tuesday

“What if I stumble, what if I fall? What if I lose my step and I make fools of us all? Will the love continue when my walk becomes a crawl? What if I stumble, and what if I fall?”Chorus from the song, “What if I Stumble?“Artist: DC TalkAlbum: Intermission: I have stumbled, and fallen many times in my life, and my walk has definitely become a crawl before. Did the love continue when my walk became a crawl? Yes, it did, praise God. You see, God does not expect perfection from me, He knows I am only human. He waits, and watches, ready to catch me when I fall. When the moment arrives, and I fall to the floor, He gently picks me up, gives me a good cleaning, and sets me on my feet again. This is life, I am going to mess up, and failure will happen. But, God grants me mercy, and forgives my failures. When my Momma died, and I became a cutter to try to ease my pain, I was truly crawling on the bathroom floor when my Father pulled me into His lap, and forgave me, and comforted me, as only He could. Yes, the love continues, never doubt that my friends.

what a great post. I never gave thought to the crawl. I always acknowledge the fall and God picks me up. However never took time to think about God is with me when I crawl.

Failure happens doesn't it. What a wonderful thing we have in Jesus that He so willingly and unlovingly pick us when we find ourselves crawling along life's paths.

Sometimes I've been so flat on face in the mud, I don't even have the strength to crawl. All I can do is just lie there, face in the dirt, until He picks me up. :)

It's so good to know this. Desperation is of the evil one and such bad adviser!

Our Father God does not look on what we did, He looks at Jesus in our hearts. That's what is important to God. There is nothing in us that would be enough to please Him. Jesus in our hearts, that what please God in us.

Yours, Denise, is a true testimony of God's Amazing Grace. The "crawl" truly is the human condition in which we find ourselves. For some of us, the "crawl" just takes on more dramatic flavor. For us - the drama only serves to PRAISE the one who picked us up!
AMEN

That is very encouraging Denise. I think when we fail we try to hide from God as Adam and Eve, not realizing He has an unconditional love and that is when we need to draw nearer to Him. I love you friend.

Thank you for those encouraging words. I have been feeling I keep failing my Lord so much but it is good to be reminded that He is merciful and knows we are human and He keeps piking us up, never tiring.

Wow! God is so very 'THERE'! Thank God for His tender mercy! You are right my friend; we will not be perfect on this earth. Thank God for sending His Son Jesus; Only He is perfect and He is our Keeper! Love you, my friend.
