In Other Words Tuesday

“Mordecai understood that it is not failure that brings despair, but unfaithfulness and idleness.”~Dorothy Patterson, editor of Women’s Devotional Bible Devotion: Service Through Providence, Esther 3:13-4:17: So true. Failure happens to everyone at sometime in life, but that should not bring us to feelings of despair. That should just bring us back up on our feet, ready to try even harder, and determined to succeed this time. But, when we choose to become unfaithful, and let the devil of idleness rule our life, that is when we will sink deep into despair. God will punish us for our lack of faith, and our idleness. Heartaches, and disappointment will become our closest friends. The sun will seem to never shine, because we are not allowing the true Son to shine through our lives. So, choose to be faithful, and stay busy daily doing the work of your Father, and He will be well pleased my friends.

I always try to work as unto the Lord so that everything I do will be my best. But sometimes, He wants me to step outside of my comfort zone. Those are the times when I need faith and trust in Him. And He never lets me down. In myself I fail but in Him is where I want to be.

Great point. Rest is nice, but too much, and it becomes idleness.

Doing HIS work.. that's the key, isn't it? It's easy to stay busy in this crazy world; trying to get ahead or just stay even. But it all needs to be for Him...
Beautiful message, Denise. Thanks so much for all of your support!
Hugs... Pam

Denise,
Thank you for participating. Faithfulness really is the only way to push through the despair in to the delight of the Lord, isn't it!
