In Other Words Tuesday

The way you think
determines the way you feel,
and the way you feel
determines the way you act."
Rick Warren : Wow, powerful words, and I feel they are truthful words as well. For example, if you think you are overweight, and are constantly putting yourself down by saying negative things about yourself, then you will feel there is no hope of you ever losing weight, so you will not even try to lose weight. If you think you are not a smart person, then you will see no reason to try to learn new things. If you think you are unattractive, then you will never want to try to change your appearance at all. If you do not think you need the Lord, and you feel you can make it through life on your own, then you will act in foolish ways, that will take you further and further away from God. My friend, you need to think constantly upon the things of the Lord, because when you do, you will feel the joy of the Lord, and you will act like someone who is deeply in love with the Lord. Fill your mind with the Lord, feel His presence in your life, and act like a daughter of the King.

I have seen a quote that included further steps. Be careful what you think- your thoughts become your actions. Be careful what you do-your actions become your habits. Be careful of your habits as your habits become your character. YOu have such a sweet heart. Love ya!

Amen to this Denise. Yes, we need to fill our mind with things of God. To take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Loved your IOWT post.

And we must put on the "Armor of God" as the enemy sometimes plant such thoughts in our minds to make us think that "they are our thoughts" when we are actually being deceived.

We stunt our own growth simply by the things we think. When will we ever learn! Thanks for sharing today.

Denise this was an eye opener to me. I feel I can't remember things and joy about it. Then I say I can't memorize God's word. I think I need to re train my thoughts.
