my purpose why i started blogging was just to jot down anything i wanted, to take note of events that's happening in my life. then i gained friends... then i grabbed every opportunity to earn from blogging... then i've decided to go back to my original purpose and this time i also get the chance to share the Word of God and encourage others in my own little way.

I started it to get my thoughts down on paper. Now I love to tell others what I am learning in scripture! Also meeting you you wonderful people is something I didn't expect!

For me, the purpose of my blog is to create a journal of memories for my girls...a record of our lives that they can always have. I plan to turn my posts into a book one day, if I can figure out how to do it!

Under my title of the blog, this is what is written:

A place where you can come and be set free from the bondages that you are dealing with by the power, anointing and glory of God Almighty. Dealing with rejection, anger towards God, addictions, divorce, a loveless marriage, parenting, anything that is taking control over your life and mind, and losing the peace and joy that Christ Jesus had promised. This Haven is for you. Come, be blessed, prayed for, encouraged and set free to be all that God has called you to be. In Christ's love, Angela

Thank you for entering the give-away and being my bloggy friend:)

Well, my web address has the words-encouragement along the way-and my title is just a small part of the bigger picture. Like a blog post, a day is just a snippet of time that is part of an even bigger plan-all of us together. God knows the bigger picture and I can only hope that through our everyday lives we somehow bring Him glory as He sanctifies us. We happen to live lives that always have something going on-even in the craziness I hope to encourage and walk along with others in love.
Blogging has provided another way of sharing in community that honestly I wasn't aware would be such a blessing! (By reading others-not me posting-but we're all part of that bigger picture:) )
Great question! Amanda:)

My blog serves as a sort of outlet for me. I once had a Myspace account that I did use to keep up with family and friends. I have since deleted that because I was tired of how worldly that place really was and I had no control over it. Imagine that, mayspace not really being my-space :) So, I decided to start my blog to offer that place where those who wanted to could come a visit, see what's been going on in my neck of the woods(or corner of the hill, as it may)and see some pictures every now and then. And I had been visiting other blogs and had a profile for a while before a blog, it just seemed like such a fun thing to do :) I get to play with backgrounds and posts and pictures, what's not to like?

Wow I am the first. How special I feel! Oh shoot I don't exactly remember the ? Why I blog or purpose?
Why is I love it. It started out as a journal but I realized that God could use me to share his love. And so I try to make everything I write and everything I participate in be glorifying to him. That is why I began the 2nd blog as a sort of witness to the non believers out there that are hopefully stopping in to read. I hopefully will now be using My Journey for spiritual posts and My Home Sanctuary for homemaking posts.
Hope this is what you were looking for. Off now to spend the morning with the baby. And I promise it woun't be a grandbaby blog I just thought that photo from yesterday was perfect for the verse. I have learned now how to download from my new camera so I'll be doing lots more photo's.
Have a Blessed Day.
Love,
Sherry

The purpose of my blog is my hope to share the joy of Jesus Christ as Savior, friend, and the lover of our souls with anyone who comes across and may read it. I desire to plant seeds of hope in others as I share my trials and sufferings so that others can see that when we are weak He is srtong and that we are never alone or without purpose on this side of heaven. My purpose is to share the light and joy that Jesus Christ has given me through victories and even knowing that HE never lets go when we are in the valley (there's joy there too!)Jesus is so good and so gentle, He is full of joy and laughter too!

Luve ya!
oh- and ps... I LOVE the encouragement I receieve from reading other blogs too and their love for the Lord inspires me to keep on the good fight.

to share recipes i love, to share a little of our daily lives to friends & family, a great resource for me to document things in Ella's life for when she's older, and a fun way to meet new people and new friends!

A record of life also to share understanding, knowledge and wisdom's so easily overlooked.
I want my children to know me and one day as young adults it is my hope that this will empower them to understand their own youth from my perspective.
Fellowship is also a foundational part of continuing my blog. To have a place to reach out even if it is through reaching within.
To receive and share experience strength and hope.

I wish I had more hours in the day to visit others' blogs. Yours especially blesses me -- It is a positive force!

The purpose of my blog is to share my passion for God's Word and encourage others to join me!
I've recently changed the format and now answer questions from readers -- strictly Biblical perspective on life's issues.

Bless you, Denise and the ministry of YOUR blog!!!!

I definatly dont blog as much as I would like because of my hectic job and church commitments, but my intention is just to share my heart with people and let them know that "I've been there". Ive been through a lot in my life, and, if through my experiences and insights I can offer a little bit of hope to people by showing them the healing path to Jesus, then that's all I could ever ask for :)

I think i'm still trying to figure that out. LOL. I think the purpose changes, depending on the day and my needs. Sometimes, it's an outlet. Sometimes, it's an encouragement (I hope). Still other times, it's just silly.

The purpose of my blog is and has always been---show someone Jesus that has no clue that He's wanting to be involved in every aspect of our lives. In the day to day of living--the tough issues---as well as the "what's for dinner"...He's waiting to be invited into hearts---a close communional relationship...after all...we are His Bride!

My mission statement says it...
Sharing the struggles, the victories through Jesus Christ and the lessons that I've learned living just an ordinary Christian woman's life. If I can help one person get through a tough time in their lives or to not feel alone in what they are struggling with...I am done what God has called me to do through my blog.

I participate in memes and do other things with my blog but my soul purpose is what I said above.

((hugs)) to you, Denise!

I have no idea actually. Hubby asked me to do it. TOLD me to. I do hope my honest postings about the struggles of life help others to know that they are not alone and point people to Jesus.

Well, in the beginning, it was just a lark. I didn't know anything about blogs but read my SILs and my daughter said, Mom you need a blog.
Now, I like to think of it as a modern day group of penpals.
I learn from others, try and collect recipes, share and care with my new friends.
Some of the posts I've done about memories or certain people, I've copied and keep in a folder for my grandchildren. I've also shared some with my nieces who may not know some of these things about their ancestors.

My blog is a place where I share my faith and hope in Christ through my life experiences and photos. I pray my words help others find healing and joy through an intimate relationship with God.

I could ramble on, but this is enough for now.

Love you.

Here is my blog mission statement:

It is my purpose through blogging to encourage others in their daily lives, to develop and strengthen friendships, to share tidbits of my personal life, and to glorify God in all I write that I might shine His light to anyone who reads as I continue on this path through both "Raindrop & Rainbow" days towards Heaven.

I started my blog about 4-5 years ago when I started having health problems and had to quit my job at the library. I was discouraged and unable to get out much and blogging provided me with such a wonderful way to meet new people, connect with old friends, stay in touch with family, and also keep a personal journal of sorts. Also, family and friends were able to keep up with the status of my health and so on.
I love sharing recipes, funnies, bits of information, my faith and just my life with others. In doing so, I've made some wonderful new friends from everywhere, too! *smile*

At first, I was just encouraged by a friend. Then I found myself enjoying, I've gained friends and been looking for more God-fearing friends through blogging. I'm glad I've found your site. Thank you.

Now, I started to share my experiences on how my Redeemer proves that He is really God and that He can still do miracles as seen in my other posts. He is really faithful and true to all His promises!!! It happened to the daughter of my sister last year. All glory belongs to HIM!

To play along with the wordless Weds, thankful Thurs, baby picture Sunday, etc. To share pics and stories of our life with distant family. Make new friends.
