Super Simple Sunday

Highway of Life
Goal: Not to just get to the end, but to help others on the way.

So what part are we?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25:40

Some people are the big things we can see.
Pastors, teachers, singers, and missionaries.
We could call them road signs, or maybe bridges, or traffic lights.
Some are quietly doing their job, always there.
Like the supporters of the ones above.
We could call them the painted lines on the road. Never really noticed unless they are not there.

Some people are never noticed at all, but you couldn't get by without them.
We could call them prayer warriors.
They could be the culverts in the road. Without them the road would always be flooded.

So many other examples, the smile you give or receive, the helping hand, the kind word, they might be something small like the lines for a parking space, or something big like a street light.

Our part is important no matter how big or small it is. So be the best we can be!!
We are needed, or we wouldn't be here!

How are things with you these days? Have you been seeing signs of spring where you're at? I sure hope so. Hope springs eternal. I thought of that when I saw spring and hope so close together.

So true! This is easy to forget for me.

I am praying for you also this week on my prayer list. I meant to put your name on my blog list and thought about it after I was in bed I think last night that I hadn't!

This is good. I don't know where I would be if there wasn't prayer warriors. I tell you with all the things my family has gone though in the past year and a half it has been hard. I can't imagine going through this and not being a christian. I don't know if I would have survived. Thankfully I don't have to go through it alone. God has sent prayer warriors into my life praying for us. And for this I am thankful!
Blessings,
Darlene

I love the way you put it! You'd be my R&R where I can stop to refresh when the journey gets too long and tiring!

This was an excellent post. Thanks for stopping by. I just got home from the hospital, not long ago. I waisted my time there. They gave me a script for bactrim. They say I may have sinusitis. But I have to see a doctor to find out why I can not stay awake. I have no energy. I wrote the post titled I have to vent before I left. As I knew I was waisting my time but had to try to get well. I prayed they would find the answer to what is wrong. But the doctor came back as good news there is nothing wrong with you. So I was in shock. He said they did 5 test and nothing is life threating enough to keep me. So they can do no more. He said the chronic fatigue is a symptom of Ptsd. So he blames it on that. But you know I have tried so hard to be happy and get over depression. I though I had it under control. Sorry I have to tell you this.

WOW DENISE! This is really an awesome idea and great comparison of what we are in the "Highway of Life"! I was thinking while reading it, is Denise a culvert or a bridge or what road sign? And then I thought, what would I be? A painted line? A detour? or like they have here in Mexico, "topes"...a speed bump? You are so important and this was so creative & special just like YOU! May God bless you Denise for the way you steer us on this highway...to Jesus!!! Thanks for sharing this on Super Sunday!
