Letter To My 21 Year Old Self
Dear Me at age 21, Your head, and your heart, seem to be spinning out of control at a fast rate of speed. You just met a great guy named Eddie Oldham, he is sweet, funny, kind, and sooooooo cute. You never believed in love at first sight, but now you do!! Tighten your seatbelt honey, this ride is only going to get better. It is November 1984, you have just turned 21, and have just met Eddie. He is going to ask you to marry him in December, only after one month of dating, wow, I know that is super fast, but do not be afraid, saying yes will be the best thing you ever do. You will get married on April 6th 1985, it will be such a beautiful wedding. Eddie will take your breathe away, and will continue to for many years. Your marriage will not always be a rose garden, there will be many painful thorns along the way, but together, your marriage will continue to bloom. You will forever be his shortybear, and he will be your forever lovebug. Love, you at 45

I am so glad that you and Eddie met and married each other!! What a blessing you are to each other! Love Grams
Good letter to keep hidden in your heart!
cute post!
So very touching.
I'm not sure as to why you are writing letters to your past ages, BUT I completely understand!!!!!!
I had, well it was suggested to me by my counselor, to write a letter to my 21 year old self. (Just my 21 year old self though- no other ages) Felt kind of weird, I just recently did that only a few short months ago... it was from my current 30 year old self to my 21 year old self.
I had lots of healing and forgiving needing to take place in that old 21 year old's desperate and wounded heart! This 30 year old needed to forgive (her) 21 year old self.... Just like Jesus forgives!
Hey you got married on my BIRTHDAY - April 6th! I am so happy that was such a good day in your life.... your 16 year old letter is heartbreaking, but this 21 year old one is glorious! (not cause it was my birthdate, but because you met the man the Lord would have to take and to love you forever!)
Thanks for always being so sweet to me at my blog :O)
Glory to God!
Deanna
That is just beautiful!!!
Blessings Denise, I can't remember whether I commented on your first one but I should have and could not pass up telling you how wonderful these "letters" are and this one so appropriate for Valentine's Day!
I think that was a quick dating & relationship to marriage but perhaps this is WHY it is one of the BEST I have the privilege to witness through your SUPER LOVE for Eddie & his for you & HIS for both of YOU! It indeed was meant to be and a heavenly match that has endured together the blooming & the thorns! You are so blessed & he is also! You are a ROSE, Denise! So sweet and precious! May your love stay kindled & rekindled in Christ's love & wisdom as you cling together during this current rough season! May YOUR LOVE endure & continue to BLOOM!...This is such a delight!!! Thanks for deciding to borrow Angela's idea & do it!
These are keepers! Worth reflecting
and writing! Deep treasures!
