What Are You Learning

You can do much more with God, than without Him. People are limited in their own power. God is unlimited. When we are in unity with God through prayer, His power can flow through us, and do the miraculous! With God, all things are possible in our lives!
By praying, we are relying on God, and not ourselves. We are telling God that our source is Him. God answers prayer! When prayers go up, blessings come down. Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given you.” All my life, I have been praying for a relationship with my dad. He was very unhappy when my mom told him she was pregnant with me, he told her to abort me. He never wanted anything to do with me, I think he was ashamed of me. He told me I would never amount to anything, he constantly verbally abused me, and he broke my nose when I was 15. Well, my prayers for him never stopped. Never think that God does not hear your prayers, or answer them. He may not answer them when you want Him to, but His timing is perfect. He always knows what you need, and He supplies that need. My dad is now living here in Tennessee, and he wants to be a part of my life. He has been calling me, and I went to see him. He is now in church, and is seeking after God. I am praying for his salvation. He has invited me to church this Sunday, I am so happy. To God be the glory. Thanks for teaching me about Your perfect timing.

Denise~

You have such a forgiving heart and it's only because of God working in your life. He, alone, can mend relationships and I can see that's what He's doing with you and your dad. I pray that this is only the beginning of great things to come! ♥ HUGS!♥

wow! that is an amazing story. God answers prayers but He answers them in His time and not ours.

God has perfect timing! Your father is not the same man he used to be. I hope he'll ask for your forgiveness and that you will grant it. Then you can let go of the past and begin a new relationship with him. Keep us informed about the meeting. I am praying for you right now.

I'll be prayin for you on Sunday, Denise. Only by the grace and through the love of Jesus can we love someone who has hurt us. I have done the same for my earthly father, though he will not turn to Jesus. I keep praying, though. You're life is a shining testimony.

Denise, may God bless you for the shining example you are of true forgiveness and love. Praying without ceasing over this issue has clearly opened the door for God to do some powerful work in your life and the life of your father. May your relationship be restored and his salvation be at hand! Love ya! Am praying and cannot wait to hear the details on how it went.

I just learned that my hubby has a Christian friend (an American who is living in China for a while) who he sees when he's oversees. God never ceases to amaze me the way He plants seeds and sows when the time is right.
