What Are You Learning

Please join in at Ginas, share what you are learning.: This week, I started memorizing verses. The verse I chose to memorize first is Psalm 30:5: His anger last for only a moment, but His kindness last for a lifetime. Crying may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning. In memorizing this verse, I have been blessed. I know this verse to be very true in my life. When God gets angry at me, and He does get angry with me at times, the anger last only a moment, and then it vanishes. But, His kindness to me, it has no ending. So many nights, I have cried myself to sleep. But, I felt His joy once again in the morning. I also have learned that through my mourning, will always come His joy. Thank You Lord for teaching me life lessons, I love You.

Denise,

Thank you for visiting me over at The Point. I hope you found a blessing.

How cool!! The passage that I have been memorizing over the past weeks is Psalm 30. I am down to my final two verses and it has blessed me so to commit this chapter to memory.

I love the cute bears on your blog. I'll be back to visit.

Yes, I know He has gotten angry at my stubbornness at times. He is so patient. I am glad that He sees the end from the beginning and knows always just what I will do and so it never shocks Him.
And the proof of His love brings joy to my heart.
I love the first verse you chose to memorize. And I am glad that the mornings come. :)

I had that verse spoken over me many years ago when I was a crumpled heap on the floor in front of the alter at my church. I was broken and undone and could not see any good in my tomorrows.....When that man of God spoke that over me I just looked at him and had no faith that God could accomplish that! It was 9 years latter that God did answer and it was the joy of joy's and laughter and happiness.... and my mind went back to that day when I was broken........ God sent the joy and it arrived in the perfect time as God knew!

Hugs girl !

I am always blessed everytime I visit you here. What I am learning lately is in James 4:15 "Instead you ought to say,'If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."

Hey Denise,
I'm so excited about your scripture memory verses. Writing them on the tablet of our heart is a true treasure. So many times when I'm confronted with a situation... a verse will come to me right when I need it.
God bless you this year learning your verses!!

How are things with you? It seems like too long since we "talked". I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and New Year's celebration. It's been great having dh home with us. He leaves again on Monday so I'm not looking forward to that. Thank you for thinking of me over the holidays. :)

That is a beautiful verse to start a memory program with! Even when the night seems long -- and sometimes the "night" can be days or weeks or even months -- there is always a morning!

Happy New Year my friend! It's been a while. Great Post! Crying can be very clensing, and I've expirienced what you're talking about as well. Sometimes, I just pour out my heart to Him at night, and have a good cry, and then in the morning I'm refreshed, and the burden is lifted, even though nothing has changed. But, I've given it to God, and released my control over it. And that makes all the difference in the world. ~Blessings!
