I have memorized last weeks verse: He who is kind to the poor, lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what he has done....Proverbs 19:17 Such a great verse, and one we should all learn from. We should all seek to help those less fortunate than us, as God helps us. Keep your heart open wide for opportunities to help someone carry their heavy burdens. Next weeks memory verse will be: Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority, except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.....Romans 13:1

Yeah, Denise!!
That's what I've learned from one simple little verse from Proverbs--be available, keep our eyes open for opportunities. In serving others, we are serving OUR GOD!!
Have a wonderful and blessed day!!
Beth
Beautiful....and couldn't be more appropriate for you big heart...your giving, loving heart.
It is hard to think that we can lend to the Lord...the Creator and maker of everything...what a great verse to remember!
Amen!
Happy Monday!
Denise, you have picked an excellent verse for all to meditate on as the nation changes leaders. The verse you've just memorized reminds of one of my favorite passages in Isaiah:
"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen . . . to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter - when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood: Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear."
Isaiah 58: 6-8, NIV.
Have a great day, dear friend.
Hi Denise,
First of all, I really enjoyed reading your answers to the questions Debra asked you...I'll post mine tomorrow. Such a perfect verse to memorize...and, as you said, a great lesson for us all!
Love ya! ♥ Hope your day is great!

great verse. happy monday friend!
Beautiful Denise and God bless you for hiding these memory verses and
inspiring us always. Such truth in
your words. Good job! Onward!
This is so perfect for today.
I had the kids set aside some of the allowance they had saved to share with those less fortunate. It really pained Dash for a while . He said "your taking it" , I said" no, I am setting it here aside until you are ready to let go of it. " after some time he joyfully added it to a small bag of medical stuff to take over to a church to distribute to a local crisis clinic. I loved seeing the process in him.
What a timely passage!
Keep serving HIM.
