By faith. What does that mean? Faith means putting our full confidence in the things we hope for; it means being certain of things we cannot see. It means believing without seeing. I'm so glad I have that option.
Jesus said to him,
"Because you have seen Me, have you believed?
Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."
John 20:29 (NAS) Just because I cannot physically see Jesus, does not mean He is not real. I believe in Him with all of my heart and soul. He works in my life daily, I can feel His presence. Without my faith, I would be lost. I would live here in this dark, and often ugly world, believing that this is it. But, because of my faith, I know Who holds my future, and what my future holds. Heaven is real, and it is going to be my home one day. Seeing is not believing, faith is believing. Hold onto your faith, it will carry you through this world.

That is one of my VERY favorite scriptures in the whole bible.
Jhn 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.

Our faith will carry us through!!! Our faith in God not in ourselves, Praise the Lord. Thanks for the quote and your cute background on the blog today.
How totally awesome. I can't see the wind, either, but I know it's there. Jesus please abide in me and through me. In Your name...amen.

Amen amen and amen! I love you sister!
Thanks for a great quote, Denise. I just HAD to write on it, because it is so connected to my blog.
And yes, JESUS IS REAL! Don't you wish we could shake Him into people's heads?!
Excellent quote today! Thank you. And thank you for hosting today.
Last week, a friend gave me an article from the local newspaper with this same quote from MLK so I was excited to see you had chosen it today. Sadly, this newspaper writer took off on a way-political and anti-Christian tangent about standing up (“taking the first step”) against “Christians” who believe in a “non-existent” God”. Oh my Goodness!!!! It was so, so sad. NEVER what Dr. King intended. I’m sure. What has our country become???
YOU have it correct: Jesus gave us this: FAITH even though we don’t SEE.
Amazing!
“Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. . .” (Romans 10:17)
…I wasn’t able to participate in IOW this week – I have a sick family member who will be having surgery. . . But I wanted to stop by and say HELLO!
Kindest Thoughts! Have a great week!
