In Other Words Tuesday

Today, the 44th President of the United States will be sworn in. So many people are celebrating this occasion, they are placing so much faith in Obama. I am not one of those people, I am placing all of my faith in God. Only God can help our country, not Obama. I am in much prayer for Obama, he needs the prayers of the entire country. This man that will be running our country, needs to let God into his heart. The things that Obama is standing for, are totally against God. You must take a stand for what is right, and Obama doesn't. Abortion, same sex marriages, gay rights, none of these are part of Gods plan. Pray people, pray. May God bless us all.

Hello. I love all the bears on your blog. Very cute.

Also, I admire your honesty. I think a lot of people are afraid to say these things, especially when there is so much hype surrounding this man. And he is just that--a man. I'm a big history and political science buff, and I agonize over what's going on all time, and it really doesn't look good right now. But like you, I'm just putting my faith in God.

We have our work cut out for us for those who truly know the truth about Jesus. May we stand by the Truth of the whole gospel not just the pieces we want to hear as we pray for people like Obama that like to twist the truth.

Putting our faith in God is exactly what we need to be doing, Denise! Thanks for your words of wisdom. Praying for the President, not supporting him in the least.

Oh, girl! Thank you for such sweet honesty. I agree with it all. We need to pray 1st and foremost. But, we also need to open our mouths as Christians be honest like you just did, Denise.

Amen, Amen, Amen.

Blessings, friend!

Scripture is clear! This president does not stand for Truth and as Christians we cannot support his policies. But we must acknowledge his God-ordained leadership and we must pray. That's scriptural!

Well said!

Thank you for taking a stand and speaking the truth, my sweet friend. We should ONLY place our hope in God not an earthly man. I believe we should be praying like never before, on our knees, for our nation. God help us.

Love you!

I totally agree with you. I believe that we do need to pray for Obama that he will learn to call on our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that God will show Obama His ways are not what this President stands for. Our country needs to turn away from our sinful nature & turn back to God.
Thanks for sharing your feelings.

Indeed we have much prayer for this man & his family that needs to be done - and for our country. I am thankful despite it all, God is the High Ruler!

Me too Denise, me too! I find it so incredibly sad that people are looking to him for hope instead of the One who hope comes from! I am sad today, very sad!

I'm reminded of when Samuel went to see Jesse's sons to see which God has chosen to be the new king. Samuel saw Eliab and thought, "Surely the Lord's anointed stands here before the Lord." God's advice? "Do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:6). You speak the truth, dear friend.

Our faith is not supposed to be in a man but in Jesus Christ. Thank you for speaking the truth.

Hi Denise! I agree that those things you listed aren't a part of God's plan BUT I have absolute faith that God can make them work together for His purpose!

You're right, though, about the prayer part!
