I Remember When......

Did you go on a honeymoon? Where? On the other hand, Are you like me, Mrs. Practical? Did you use your money for something else, besides a honeymoon? Do you own a home ? How did you find your first home? Are you still living in the same house? Tell us about it on your blog. Come back and link it to Mr. Linky.: Eddie and I took a weekend honeymoon to the Smokies, it was awesome. This April 6th, we will celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary, and we have never owned our own house. We lived in a duplex when we first got married, we lived there from 1985-1992. Then, we moved into an apartment, we lived there from 1993-2000. Then, we moved into another apartment in October of 2000, and we are still living here. We may not have a house, but this apartment is our love nest. We do not stress over the fact that we are 45 years old, and do not have a house. As long as we are together, that is all that matters.

You and Eddie...that is a great combo! We have a house but we never took a honeymoon. Our 25th is coming up in a couple of months. Would love to take a nice big trip but we have four teenage sons...no likely to happen!

The advantage to home ownership is the interest you can claim on your tax return. We've rented apartments, houses and townhouses. The advantage to renting is someone else has to make the repairs. With apartments, you don't even have lawn maintainence.
You and Lovebug are snug and happy and that is what matters most.

Houses are made by man, love nests are made by God.... i prefer the latter!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Denise,

I am glad that you and Eddie have been happy in your apartments. That is what counts.

I have a cross stitch that my mom made which says, it doesn't matter where you go or what you do; what matters is who's with you.

What a neat, neat love story you and your love bug have.
