When I was in the sixth grade, I was very shy. I was overweight, and got made fun of everyday. I really did not have many friends, so I spent most of my time studying, and making good grades. It was 1976, the bicentennial year. We were making a project for the special year, and my teacher asked me to stay in at recess to read somethings into a tape recorder. I jumped at the opportunity because I hated recess, that is when everyone would pick on me. So, there I was standing at a table set up in the hallway. I had this huge book in front of me, and a tape recorder. All of a sudden, this boy came in from outside, he smiled really big at me, and said hello cutie. Then, he started chasing me around the table trying to kiss me. Kiss. yuck!! I was running, and screaming very loudly. Gross!! Well, fast forward 8 years later, I met the love of my love in the month of November 1984, he asked me to marry him in December 1984, and we were married in April 1985. One day, we were talking about the schools we had went to, and we realized that we had went to elementary school together. So, we got out some old school pictures. Guess what? We were in the same class in the sixth grade, and he was the kissing bandit!! Well, he may not have caught me back then, but he has totally captured me now. My lovebug is my kissing bandit for life, we will celebrate 24 years of kissing, and marriage on April 6th. Now, I need to go catch my kissing bandit!!

That is so neat! I'm so very happy for both of you. What a heartwarmning story. A cute one at that.
Hi Denise, hope you are feeling better now. What an amazing story! And really romantic too!
That is so wild. My hubba hubba hubby and I figured out how many times over the years that we had crossed paths and never knew each other. It was chilling when we put some of those things together. It just does nothing but prove the "Divine Providence of the Lord". No one can ever convince me otherwise! My bandit is snoozing now, so I guess giving him a kiss is out ;o)
Denise,
Awesome story! Thanks for sharing!
Love,
Cheryl
True love, indeed! Very cute story.
I love this story! You guys were meant to be from the beginning!
This was a wonderful story. I could just picture you two back then. I was afraid when I read the part about him chasing you around the table that you got into trouble.

What a fabulous story!!! I love it! My dh and I lived in the same neighborhood, 8 years apart. He was a toddler when he lived there, I was in third-fifth grade. We met overseas in Okinawa, Japan about 9 years later.
Denise, that is an AWESOME story! Instead of your lovebug, I'm gonna forever think of him as the kissing bandit! ;-)
How are you doing, sweetie? I haven't visited in too long but you have definitely been on my mind and in my heart.
Blessings and love!
What a precious story, Denise. I have missed you. I have been away from blogging so I feel like the prodigal who has come home. I just had to post about my postive day today, be thankful and share once again.
