We Survived

Hello everyone, praying for you all to have a lovely weekend filled with His love. Well, lovebug and I survived our week of going to doctor appointments. We are both glad it is over, woo hoo!! Lovebug went to see a new arthritis doctor on Wednesday, he has arthritis in his neck, back, wrist, and right hip. He has spurs in his hip, which have been causing him quite a bit of pain, bless his heart. We both like the doctor, he was very nice. He put him on some new medicine, and he will be going for some physical therapy 3 times a week for two weeks. So far, the medicine is really helping him, praise God. Yesterday, we both had eye appointments. Lovebugs visit went really well, he goes back in six months. My visit was uneventful, he still cannot laser my right eye, or take the cataract out of my left eye, due to my diabetes being so out of control. He said it would just be too dangerous, and he is not willing to risk it. My eyes are really bad, there is now a possible problem with the circulation in my eyes, he said he was going to keep a close watch on it. I go back in six months, I hate such a long wait, but if that is Gods will, so be it. I went to my doctor this morning for blood work, she is rechecking my thyroid levels, cholesterol, and diabetes. So far, no word yet on my heart test. I really hope I find something out this afternoon. As soon as I know, I will let you all know.

Thinking of you and praying for you, my sweet friend.

On a funny note, there is a word play that I've made in my mind while writing this. Since diabetes is commonly called saccharon in Greek, that is 'sugar' (hence saccharin , the sweetener), you have earned the 'sweet' epithet both physically and spiritually.

Oh Denise! I am glad things went well so far and I am sure they will be good for the rest of your results.

Love you lots!!!

Hi Denise,
I hate to hear that about your eyes... that must be really frustrating? Is it really hard to see?
I'm still praying for your tests.
And have to say, your header picture is so cute! I love how it's always something NEW when I come to SHORTYBEARS PLACE!
HOLYKISSES,
AND THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS
YOU ARE A WARRIOR!

Hi Denise,

You've been on my mind...glad to hear that your appointments went well and you have them behind you, for the time being. I'll be keeping you close in my thoughts and prayers regarding your eyes, and heart issues. Hang-in-there my friend...God is watching over you!

Praying that the medicine will continue to bring relief and that his physical therapy provides some help and range of motion, too.

My Dear Sweet Denise~

I've let the muck of work cover me all week, only going to my blog to post a few days. When I do visit, you are my visit. I am so very sorry, I haven't been here to check on you and join in the specific prayers. But, God does know already, even if I do not. I'm rejoicing with you for great results, and at least uneventful ones. You can now sit back and rest and emjoy the next few weeks, while you celebrate our precious Savior's birth.

Have a great time. Know you are in my prayers and on my mind daily. I do so look forward to hearing from you.

I love you!
Cheryl

I have arthritis also and know how your Lovebug feels. Most of the time I live with it as a constant companion, but then a flare up and I'm on the painpills again. I seem to be taking more lately, maybe because of all the unusual activity and travel.
I know you're happy the visits are over for a while. Praying for good results.
