Sitting Around The Table

Dear Lord, as Christmas gets closer, my thoughts are turning more and more toward my momma and brother. I cannot believe that this will be the third Christmas without my momma, and the first one without my brother. I miss them both more than my words could ever express, and it would be so wonderful to see them sitting at my Christmas dinner table, but I know that cannot happen. Thanks for giving me the assurance that they will be gathered around the grandest table of all, and will participate in heavens Christmas feast. Such joy they will be feeling, smiling brightly, and loving each other. I praise You Lord for your dear blessings upon them, and I love You. I only have one request, please hug them both very tightly for me, and tell them that I love, and miss them both so very much. Thank You Lord.

Denise,

Your post really spoke to me today. I'm so sorry to hear of your losses...I do understand. I lost my mom in 2000, my brother in 2002, and my dad in 2006. I miss them all so very much, but I find great comfort in knowing we'll be together, again, one day. May you be surrounded by many warm memories.

What a wonderful prayer, my friend. I know He will give them a smooch and a hug from you!
Take comfort in knowing they are with Him and seated at his table.

It really is so hard to deal with losses, especially at Christmas time. I lost my mom almost four years ago. I seem to be more emotional about missing her this year for some reason. May the Lord comfort you, my friend.

Hey Denise,
I totally understand. :)

IF ROSES GROW IN HEAVEN
LORD PLEASE PICK A BUNCH FOR ME
PLACE THEM IN MY MOTHER'S ARMS
AND TELL HER THEY'RE FROM ME
TELL HER I LOVE HER AND MISS HER
AND WHEN SHE TURNS TO SMILE
PLACE A KISS UPON HER CHEEK
AND HOLD HER FOR AWHILE
BECAUSE REMEMBERING HER IS EASY
I DO IT EVERY DAY
BUT THERE'S AN ACHE WITHIN MY HEART
BECAUSE I'M MISSING HER TODAY.

I hope our Mommas know eachother in heaven Denise. I keep thinking, if they're watching over us... they know; we know eachother, so surely they'd find eachother. One day we'll have all thee answers. But know.. today, I'm sharing your grief.
Love ya girl,
Lea

This beautiful prayer speaks to so many of us. I still can hardly believe that my brother is no longer here. I love this by Peter Marshall

If our loved ones are with the Lord
And the Lord has promised to be with us
If they are with Him
And He is with us
They cannot be far away.

May God bless you more abundantly this year. I'm so thankful for what Christ did for you and me. To live forever with Him and also have the opportunity to spend the rest of our lives with those we love most is cause for praising His name. It is so hard to imagine what a celebration our loved ones who have gone on, but I know it will be grand.

Oh, Denise!!

I'm most certain that your prayer is heard and has been answered!!

The loss of our loved ones is more difficult during the holiday seasons--that's a "for sure"!! But, rest in the assurance that they are in Jesus' arms--the perfect place--no pain, no suffering--just joy always!!
