Let Your Light Shine

My dear friend Sharon blessed me with this, and now, I would like to pass it along to all of you. This Christmas, please do not let the rush, rush of the season steal your joy. Do not let the economic hard times steal your joy, do not let others steal your joy. Number one, remember where your true joy comes from, Jesus. He is the only reason for this season, never forget that. He was heavens gift given to us freely, celebrate Him. Bake Him a Birthday cake, read His story, the Bible, sing praises to Him, praise dance before Him, give Him the most precious gift ever, your heart, soul, body, and mind. Now, that is what Christmas is all about my friends. Let your light shine brightly for Jesus, lead others to Him.

This is a graet blog! I love the idea of baking Him a birthday cake. We do that every Christmas. We even let the kids blow out the candles for Him. :)

I wrote about a similar topic today. Very good point about not letting the economic situation steal your joy.

God bless you friend.

I am trying so hard to remember this - to let Jesus be the reason for our celebrating. Thank you for the reminder!

Those are some wonderful ideas! I know that we do tend to rush through things way too often. We should slow down...especially at this time of year...and reflect on what His birth meant for all of us.

I am so blessed by your posts!

Thank you for sharing that post, My Emily is going to hear the Christmas story in her Bible Club class next Tuesday and I heard her asking her siblings if they wanted to come and my little Joel says, "I go May Yah" that is how he says Emily.
When my AJ was about 7 he was being bad and I told him Santa was watching and he told me, "Mom that is not the meaning of Christmas, it is Jesus birthday"! I am so proud of them.

Amen! We all need to remember the reason for the season. In the midst of all the excitement, Santa Claus, shopping and gifts...we need to remember what the greatest gift of all is...Jesus Christ. Without the birth of Jesus...there wouldn't be a Christmas to celebrate.

I am going to bake birthday cake for Jesus this year for the first time. I've seem that idea on so many different blogs and I love it. Very appropriate!
