Mission 4 Monday

Hello everyone, I would like to share an important mission with you today. Nursing homes are filled with lonely people, who sit patiently day by day waiting on someone to come to visit them. It is so heartbreaking. I am going to adopt a grandmother from one of the nursing homes here in my city. All it takes is reaching out in love to someone. I will visit her once a week, and take her little care packages. But, mostly I will shower her with love, and great big hugs. Please think about sharing yourself with someone in need, you will be glad you did.

My fourth grade girls and I will be going to the nursery home after thanksgiving to hand out mini christmas trees and sing to them! I pray the girls are touched by this and continue to serve God by serving the elderly!

Isn't serving fun? We do a lot of little things here and there. Geriatrics hold a sweet place in my heart. I always loved working with them, and after all--we'll all be at that stage one day.

What a wonderful idea! Jim's mother is in a nursing home in Tucson, AZ. It would be wonderful if someone adopted her too. We live two hours away. Bless you my friend.

Blessings Denise...What a great idea for a mission!!! To open your life and visiting someone who is so alone is such a ministry of showing the love of Jesus! But "adopting" a
sweet soul to visit. Awesome! Jesus must be SMILING from ear to ear. Hope you are better soon and well enough to be able to follow your heart! It's a great project of youth ministries but for more than just the holidays...like monthly if not weekly...alternate with other youth groups. Great thinking Denise! Praying for you and your Dr. visits today, right? Hope you are feeling better! Love & hugs!
my sweet friend & mission-ary, right where you are planted God is using you in great ways!
