Thankful Thursday-My Life

Another Thankful Thursday is upon us, can you believe it? Time flies by these days. What am I thankful for today? My life, my precious life. As I was out visiting blogs today, I stopped by dear Leas blog. Today, she shared a video from focus on the family. It was about a young woman by the name of Gianna, she shared her story of being an abortion survivor. Please go by Leas blog, and watch this heart touching video. As I sat here watching this precious soul tell her story, my heart began to race, and tears started flowing. My friends, God spoke to me through this video. My heart was deeply exposed, years of locked up feelings, came pouring out. I have been released from a deep pain, healing can now truly begin. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. You see, I am also an abortion survivor. When my mom was 30 years old, she found out she was pregnant with me. It was not a planned pregnancy, she already had two boys and a girl. They were 11,9, and 6. My dad got very upset when she told him she was pregnant, he told her she would have to get rid of me. She went to her doctor, and told him that she could not have another child. He gave her some pills to take that would cause her to abort me. She went home, took the amount of pills that he had told her to take, and within an hour, she was spotting, but that was all. So, she took more, and then she started bleeding very heavy, and cramping badly. She and my dad thought that she had passed me, no more baby. Until one night, when she felt me kick. She was three months pregnant, and could not believe that she was still pregnant!! I was meant to be, God saved me. I was born with my appendix in my back, and have had to deal with several health problems due to those pills. I forgave my momma a long time ago, I loved her so very much. I was her caregiver before she passed away in 2006. God gave me a precious gift, He blessed me by letting me lead my momma to Him. I prayed for her for many years, and in 2005 when her health really started deteriorating, she asked me to help her get saved, she wanted God to forgive her. Praise God for answered prayers. So, you see, life is precious. I realize now, I am a survivor. Thanks for opening my eyes Lord. Sorry this post has been a long one, but I wanted to share my thankfulness.

Wow, what a testimony you have. That is even more of a testimony that you were able to forgive her, and lead her to Christ. Only God could do all of that in a life!!

Bless you, thanks for sharing this very powerful testimony. No one, and nothing on earth can stop God's plans. You are a witness.
"I know the plans I have for you"
they were ordained before I laid the foundations of the world. Herod couldn't stop Christ, pills couldn't stop you-Satan is a liar.

WOOOOOW!!! I read the book Gianna. It's her testimony. I bought it at one of those rest stops on the turnpike when driving from Colorado to Pennsylvania. Her testimony, like yours, is amazing.

I have to say, I personally find your testimony to be most amazing at the point where you say, "I forgave my momma long ago and was blessed to be able to lead her to the Lord."

What a mighty God we serve!!! God is in the business of transforming lives and hearts. YOU ARE PROOF OF THAT!!!

I pray you are blessed today. That you would experience Him in new and deeper ways.

When I was 16, on my own and pregnant I visited an abortion clinic. I did not know Christ at the time but the description of the procedure scared me and I left. I thank God every day that He gave me my son (now 12) and it was through being a young mom that I was saved. God knows all and can work any situation for His good. Praising the Lord with you today!

I stopped over from Chelle's to see how you were progressing on the Love Dare, and then i decided to read a little further.

This is a powerful testimony--God had plans for you, and He was determined that you were to live and fulfill these plans NO MATTER WHAT!!

You were CHOSEN before the creation of the earth!!

Leading your Mom to Jesus--all in God's plan for you!! God is just so AMAZING!!
